Tesco had 4x500ml Spitfire priced at £2.02 on the new electronic price thing, which I thought was a bit low.
Brought 4 lots (which is all they had) came up as £5.28 at the till, went to customer service and got back double the difference :j
16 Cans of Spitfire for free and Tesco gave me back £26.08, a touch or what

Double the Difference:...is it Store or Area Specific?
Is there a main Tesco wbsite (link if available) that specifies their policy....reason I ask, I was in a local Tesco's in Ballymena, and althought I read their big policy notice behind the CS desk, I couldn't find any mention of DTD, so....does it actually apply in Northern Ireland?....anyone?
seems to me that policy should be a nationwide thing....just my thoughtsI'm now a retired teacher... hooray ...:j
Those who can do, those who can't, come to me for lessons:cool:0 -
I've just ordered a couple of things for birthday presents which are reduced on the Tesco direct website. I have noticed though after completing the order to be collected in the store that the price is wrong on two items! They have charged me the amount its been reduced by and not the actual price, they got them the wrong way round! So will i just get a refund when I point this out at the collection desk when I collect them? I take it double the difference doesn't apply or does it? I've printed off a copy of the prices on the page that I should have been charged incase they say it was never that price - it does say they take the money from your card immediately so I can't see how they can deny me the refund of the difference when I pick them up.0

I must have a look next time I'm in my local and see if it mentions DTD on their board!0 -
I shop in Tesco in Rutherglen, and always check my receipt. I am over charged about 2 out of 3 weeks, but have never been given doublt the difference.0

Does this apply to items bought online (in particular, Wii Games)
Bought a Wii Game and Motion Plus, priced at £15.00 but found a evoucher 15% off so in total, £12.75.
Online order stats £12.75, but delivery note states full £15.00, no mention of 15% discount.0 -
