They went through at full price. Told CS and I went with her back to the meat dept. She told me to wait there while she got the manager. She was gone a while then came back and we waited for ages before he turned up ( i assume he was looking at the cctv to see if i had fiddled with anything. When he finally arrived he almost immediatly said right give me R&R to the CS which seems strange (a. she didn't question it! b. he didn't ask her which meat it was and he bent down to the shelf in question and ripped off the SELs! c. she then told me you would have got DtD before but now you a total refund!)
Anybody else come accross this. Or is it an out of touch old Manager throwing his authority around.
Same store different CS
On the end of the isle selling joints of beef at £6/kg down from £8.48 sel 18/01/2009 but had full price down the isle same barcode 24207****** sel £8.48. I bought Irish Beef Steak and got full refund from CS
CS knew they were dual price selling because the shelf stacker asked her if it was another one and she nodded
I didn't ask why I got R&R instead of DtD I was happy to get the Beef for Free
PM me for StorePlease don't critasize my spelling0 -

I suspect some stores are referring to r&r on catchweight products because the cs desk staff are lacking in their mathematical abilities and it's just easier.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -
I have a question about DTD, I bought a couple of packs of pampers which had a promotion label showing 2 for £13.50 (or £8.98 each) but it scanned as full price. I queried it, the CS lady went and got the promotion label and the offer date showed that it had expired several days ago. She refunded me the £4 odd so that I had paid the £13.50 offer price. I asked for DTD but she said it did not apply as the offer had expired.
I thought the whole point of DTD was that you get it if they charge you more than the price as shown on the product or label? I didn't have time to argue so took the standard refund.
Am/was I entitled to DTD and what can I do about it now?0 -
I have posted this on another thread but thought i would add it here, i got my fisrt DTD thanks to you lovely guys and gals on her. I bought 2 bars of chocolate and was to get a free book, well the book scanned at just under £15 and i said i was entitled to DTD and the woman was great. My shopping had only came to £7 without the mistake so i was so happy!
What makes it even better is it was you thanks to this forum i knew about the book :rotfl:would love to win an ipad!

Yes, you're absolutely right crumpetman! She definately should have given you DTD- but some of them will try any old excuse (you will also find thaat policy tends to vary from person to person, as a large number of SA/CS don't know the full T&C's of the policy certainly not as well as us MSE's, LOL)
I would give Dundee a call, as someone previously mentioned that they were overcharged on an item and CS refunded them in the form of adding the relevant points to their CC. If you were to strike it lucky, and the same applied to you, those extra points would still be eligible for 4x in Deals! HTH0 -
Thanks for the advice. When you say call Dundee, is that the customer services number?0

Sorry, yes it is!
But now for the life of me- can't find the number. If you don't have/can't find it, I'll have another look. Keep us posted on how you get on! :beer:0 -
I just phoned 0800 505555 and she said that the checkout scanned the correct price as the offer had expired and all the CS could do was to honour the expired price and DTD would not apply. Shame.0

 Jeez, they make me soooo mad sometimes! You really should have been entitled to DTD, that's what the policy is in place for- when you are overcharged you get DTD- it's not your fault they never took the old SEL down, which lead you to beleive the offer was still valid...... therefore you were overcharged on the displayed price :wall:
Maybe have another go with helpline if you get the chance...... £16 in CC deals could still be of use to you for something, and it's not as if there are many bonus points opportunities available at the moment. Even fire off a quick email stating that you were not happy with the previous outcome, you're a loyal customer, know your rights etc etc. Good luck xx0
