Hi, just found this thread started by MrsB about Gill Holcombe's mealplanning book. Has anyone used this book, was it any good? It has very mixed reviews on Amazon. Thanks in advance."We have to be kind because everyone is fighting a great, great battle" - Sir Richard Attenborough

I am really enjoying looking at what others have planned for the week - it is giving me more than a few ideas for next month (I plan monthly).
Our meals for the week will be:
Sunday - Roast potatoes, veg and a 'loaf' made out of veggie sausage mix and stuffing! pudding = fruit trifle
Monday - Remainders of above sausage loaf, baked potatoes and veg
Tuesday - Cottage pie (made with TVP mince)
Wednesday - vegetable lasagne
Thursday - Baked potatoes, salad including sprouted chick peas, cheese and onion quiche (I usually cheat and make it without pastry as I am scared of pastry, but I may have a go this week!)
Friday - Curried lentle soup
Saturday - HM pizza and HM oven baked chips
Breakfast is usually either porridge with dried fruit added or HM muslie(sp?), lunch is sandwiches, HM yogurt and some fruit - pudding is fruit each night (other than Sundays)0 -
Dangit, you just reminded me I promised kids lasagne this week. I'll have to rethink! Thanks OldmacdonaldProud to be dealing with my debts :T

:hello: Never posted in this thread before, and don't always meal-plan
, but here goes:
Sunday - They're currently scoffing Roast Chicken, 4 different veg, roast potatoes and roast parsnips, yoghurts for pudding
Monday - Chicken Stir Fry, probably HM ice cream as I have some cream with todays date on that I have to find something to do with
Tuesday - Lamb Hotpot (courtesy of DD1 (10)), SF jelly with fruit
Wednesday - Cottage Pie topped with colcannon, some veg tbd, Pineapple Upside down cake
Thursday - Paprika Pork with savoury rice, something exciting in meringue nests found in back of cupboard
Friday - Curry of some description with all the trimmings for me and OH, fish fingers and sweet potato wedges, sweetcorn and peas for children, no pudding as it's sweetie day
Saturday - frozen pizza as I'm away for the weekend and OH is dangerous in the kitchen, he'll then feed them a mountain of sugar for pudding
Sunday - I'll probably cook lamb chops and veg when I get back (quicker than cooking a joint and I won't get back until about 4)
Monday - Pasta with HM tomato sauce and HM garlic bread, possibly carbonara for OH.
Breakfast is a choice from the 10(!) different cereals I have in the cupboard or toast, lunch is a pack up for the children, OH buys his own  and I have a marmite sandwich most days unless I've made leek and potato soup. OH on lates next week so he'll get a re-heated version of all of the above.
