just to echo what FC said 2 is just a baby, if she is ok with other people and other dogs I wouldn't be over concerned about it.

I would worry about her running loose though if she got off your land maybe she would be in danger from cars and stuff.

My german shepherd would attack another dog if it were too stray into kennel area and run if I was not present to me this is normal dog behavior, how ever if I was with her there would be no attack as I am seen as pack leader and one word from me, leave would be enough ,it seems that the answer is to make sure that the dog cannot leave the house on her own ,and to do more work on her obedience so that you have full control over your dog when you are with her ,and at the age of 2 she is no where near to old for this ,the other thing was the dog that was attacked a male or female? as this can make a difference ,my female would welcome a dog but not a female into her run.
  • My opinion, as someone who feels all but guide dogs are a menace, is you would be better off having both dogs put down. Now just watch the response from the dog loving community.

Not a troll. Just a personal opinion. Remember not everyone is a dog lover. Some of us have better things to do.

2 is no age! I'm just beginning training with my 5yr old rescue!
  • yeah. my doggo was about 4 or 5 when I got her - she has learnt loads of tricks and commands in the last 18 months!!

Training classes will also help you and her develop your rapport and relationship in general, and will help encourage her look to you for leadership - I would say go for it - both of you will probably really enjoy it.
  • Pay for the other dog's treatment, and keep your door locked/take all other precautions to prevent anything similar happening.

I empathise with your feelings. Dogs, and their owners, are becoming a total pain.
I drive a round trip of 11 miles to escape the undesirables to walk my dog in woods.
Why then do I have to slide through a sea of filth that other dog owners, because it is woods, see fit not to clear their dog's mess?
My dog has maybe according to our vet, another 18months life left. After that, I won't have another for various reasons.
The proliferation of dog hating breeds.
The inability it seems to clean up, and I am lumped among them.
The increase of treating dogs as family. e.g, fur babies, my girl, my boy etc.
Mostly though, my next dog would be likely to outlive me, plus I may not be fit enough to pick up after my dog in a few years.

But then dwileflunker, I canot stand other people's children.

Do you have any by chance?

ETA. Troll is so overused. Just because someone has a different view, doesn't make them a Troll.
