I would tentatively say it sounds quite hopeful as you are getting a second chance at a review before the hassle of an appeal. It suggests to me that the wording didn't fit their remit. (Only guessing so hope this is the case.)

Have you applied for health in pregnancy grant too I think you should qualify .

Yep, I've applied for that- well I've got the forms signed but I can't apply until I'm 25 weeks pregnant which is 2 weeks time.

I really hope so, I honestly do not know how much more I can go through without cracking up completely.

    Housing benefit

I've been to CAB with the lady from CAP. They said that I needed to go back to them when I had my second application turned down- so I've now got to go back to them with the letter I've received this morning.

Is nothing going to go easy

oh HB, i havent kept up,

LAC you have any news on the situation, is it going well(or as well as can be in the circs)
  • So sorry that I haven't replied sooner- I've been a busy bee. The short of it is that after begging the housing options team they have let me borrow £1500 for a deposit and month in advance- I am moving next Saturday 28th! Found a lovely 3 bed place, fab landlady, close to school and swimming pool and a different town AND the council will pay HB on it.
I've got 3 months until this babe arrives-time to settle in, get to know the area and sort myself out.

I'll let you all know how I get on in the new place- I've sorted all of the utilities around (apart from SE Water- who are being !!!!!!s). I finally feel that things are starting to look up- no longer just treading water I'm actually swimming :T

Edit to say the !!!!! isn't rude, just b uggers :o

LAC, I have nothing constructive to add to this thread, I just wanted to say what an inspiration you are, your positive outlook and determined nature are a credit to you.

I wish you all the luck in the world
