  • The rules are that you can't discuss medical treatments.

There are forums that cater for such advice, so why not go there?

The rules were there when you posted. You know the rules, because you agreed to them when you signed up.

    Why complain?

the rules relate to medical advice as what i wanted/recieved was peoples experience of a drug how EXACTLY is this advice ,if peoples experiences are not supposed to be posted its time to clean up all the dfw diaries

Experiences with drugs aren't allowed though - if I, as a non-native English speaker can understand this, what exactly is your problem?

I sympathise with you Chrissy. I like this site and respect the opinions of the FMs so it seemed a natural choice when I wanted to get opinions on whether a certain exercise programme (for a specific physical condition) I've been thinking about was worth the money. I didn't want medical advice as such, I don't need it- I just wondered whether anyone else had experience of this particular programme. It is a lot of money to me and I suppose that I was just hoping for a discussion along the lines of the insurance or the shopping forums. It was quite rightly pointed out to me that this would not be allowed and although I was a bit disappointed I agree. I still think that the basis of my enquiry was money saving though

I totally understand that this forum does not want us to discus medical treatments, and I think that they're probably right TBH. They must tread a fine line between helping and advising people and giving out wrong information. However I have noticed that the rules about medical advice are not adhered to quite as rigidly when people are discussing pregnancy and childcare or certain other illnesses but I imagine that making these decisions is part of treading that fine line between what is and isn't appropriate on a money saving site.

I hope that you find the information that you're looking for.

your replies are becoming more aggresive each time , its seems that life experience what ever the issue should not be on these boards that would clear about 3/4 of the posts. its interesting that a bg thanked you for your agression but didnt have the bottle to reply herself . SAYS IT ALL REALLY !

so people with a disability (or their carers) can ask for monetary advice, post good deals, best place to buy a second-hand wheelchair etc

posting about medications and experiences is discouraged because this forum is not moderated, and there is a potential in threads of this nature for posts to be made that ARE against site rules. People interpret advice in different ways, and a Moneysaving forum should not have to be responsible for moderating posts of a medical nature.

eg if someone posted 'I took that drug and developed a bald patch on my head'
that is posting their experience, but someone reading that may be worried enough about baldness that they stop taking their medication and have a seizure as a result.

You are wrong there Glad, the D&D board is NOT for help with Benefits.
