Either enforce the rule or don't but don't pick and choose which boards or users can talk about meds and which can't,you have to remove ALL from ALL boards, and if you don't want a PM telling you that there's a post thats maybe breaking the rules then don't volunteer to be a board guide,as that is part of the roleI think you should take 2 aspirin and go and lie down:rotfl:

Secondly board guides do have a life, are not here 24/7, don't read every post or indeed thread. Therefore the onus is on MSE members to report any posts they think goes against the no medical advice rule to abuse@moneysavingexpert.com. As has being said time and time again this site is not moderated.IMPORTANT! This forum isn't moderated.
If you spot a spam, illegal, offensive, racist, libelous post or PM please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com:hello:0 -
Hi all
sometimes posts are removed from this thread because they mention medication, treatments, advice which may not be suitable for all etc
if such a post is quoted then that post will go too (we don't edit posts)
a pm to myself or Sue is better for everyone than posting issues on the thread
In fairness what I think Glad meant was that if you are unsure why your post was moved or deleted pm her or Sue.
Board guides will delete a post if it is blatantly clear that medical advice is being given and then send a report to the abuse team, but as I've said we don't read every post or thread so it's common for posts offering medical advice to be missed. This is where the abuse team rely on the forum members to report such posts.:hello:0 -
Board guides remove posts,in your earlier posts you wrote"board guides do not deal with abuse, its not part of our role"But board guides DO remove posts so it must be part of your role
If its NOT your job DON'T remove them then, simple,no misunderstandings

all very confusing all this !! but agree with glad , hard for mods to read all poststhe truth is out there ... on these pages !!0

your replies are becoming more aggresive each time , its seems that life experience what ever the issue should not be on these boards that would clear about 3/4 of the posts. its interesting that a bg thanked you for your agression but didnt have the bottle to reply herself . SAYS IT ALL REALLY !
I dont see HIS posts as aggressive, more honest and truthful, that it differs with your personal opinion doesnt constitute aggression, the word Medicine is a medical term, as is the word Drug.
There are reasons such things cannot be discussed, even I could say "Oh yes I am a qualified doctor and I suggest you double your dose of Morphine, just take twice as much then ask your doctor for a repeat prescription".
A public open forum is hardly the place one would discuss pills or medicines, its why we have what people call Surgeries, that offer a more one to one and proffessional opinion.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A
"Marleyboy you are a legend!"

Marleyboy speaks sense
marleyboy (total legend)

Still, I'm about to demonstrate that I don't spend ALL my time on MSE! :rotfl:Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
As a private practitioner, there is no way that I would ever give advice to someone on a public internet forum regarding medical symptoms, health issues, drugs, medication, etc without performing a proper consultation and examination.
Although forums are "anonymous" it is still possible to trace users through ISP addresses. Any diagnosis I could (but don't) give over the internet can be traced to me, and ultimately the buck stops with me and my indemnity insurance. It's not a risk that most of us would be happy to take.
As for getting advice (subjective or otherwise) from non-qualified, unregulated members of the public... why on earth would you want to when the NHS is free at point of use?0
