27 Feb 2009 - The Travelzoo Newsdesk has found this outstanding offer from Virgin Atlantic:
Virgin Atlantic has just released a fantastic flight sale to New York, with fares on offer from an incredible £225 return, including taxes & charges! We're surprised that a fare this hot is available for spring travel dates.
Flights depart from Heathrow and fly into Newark, and are available for travel from now until 2 April, then from 10
April to 31 May.
This promotional fare is the first to be released as part of the airline's 25th birthday celebration sale.
Be quick to book, as the sale ends on 4 March.
Travelzoo tip: Premium Economy flights have also been hugely discounted and are on offer for as low as £499.

Hi Lou,
I used this offer to book yesterday - they even had premium economy on the £300 seats for £13 extra each way...but I still was a cheap skate and booked mine for £220!0 -

Oh I would have paid for premium economy, we upgraded to that on the way home last year...and it was lovely. Champagne as we sat down, much nicer food, bigger seats, bliss.A cloudy day is no match for a sunny disposition~ William Arthur Ward ~0 -
Yeah but it was £350 or so vs £220... thats £100 more drinking money
Plus its my birthday and the day after my marathon when I fly so I'm going to try and blag an upgrade on sympathy basis since I'll barely be able to walk0 -

I too am looking at these Virgin flights and have the cheapest ones in my reserved basket.
im thinking of trying to tailor in 2 weeks, a few days in NYC but then on somewhere else. ( dont think we can afford 2x weeks in NYC on hotels  ) I would REALLY like beach time- aside from the hamptons where are the best areas to find beaches and what will weather be like mid may? Im seeing that I tihnk it will be quite nice? Hppy to drive interestate, I love US driving after the last experience in Vegas was wonderful:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0
