    aaah.... damn the rules!

can't you buy it in smaller than 100ml containers?

I saw an amusing thing once, that in the US, they have the 100ml rule, but for saline solution, you can take as much through as you want, as long as it is labelled saline!

Apparently they allow KY Jelly too..weird and I dont want to think about it...

What was someone trying to pass off as saline??

I'm going to check that out as KK22 says for next time :D

Also American Airlines have £239 flights on at the moment which seems pretty good so I'll book next week I think - exciting :D

aah.. but with AA from Manc, you gotta change at Chicago, which means your flight doesn't land til 6pm, and you've basically wasted a whole day travelling... meh!

and they wern't trying to pass off saline as anything, just proving a point that you could put any clear liquid in a bottle labelled saline, and it didn't gt checked!

i wish i could remember what site.. dammit!

Thanks KK22 - I'll look into that for April's trip - I tried to go the opticians this time before I left, but being NYE they had shut shop early and gone home to party :D

I do think its weird though because the TSA site says saline solution is excluded anyway, but BAA site says only medicines and baby milk is...sigh.

I got mine from Asda Opticians for this trip. Check out the drop down menu, they do 60ml travel size bottles. You could probably get those at most opticians so you should be sorted for your next trip ;)

Flight was good, tiny plane but not too packed so me and the otherhalf had a spare seat to lie on.
Spent the afternoon trying not to fall asleep! Walked around times square and Broadway. Going to go do more exploring this morning.
Hotel is a lot nicer than I expected, room is tiny but its clean and warm.

again.. the thread that i pointed you too will tell you everything about how to get into manhattan, from taxis to car services, to public transport!

as for city pass? no idea.. and nightclubs? who needs nightclubs when bars are open til 4am, and there are REALLY STRICT rules on dancing in bars etc, so nightclubs are few and far between,, and really depends what music you like..
