Thanks NarkyMoo, I was merely asking other peoples view on the fact id been cancun many times had used both however shuttle only consisted of me and my friend wondered about other peoples experiences.
Pls be nice to all MoneySavers. There's no such thing as a stupid question, and even if you disagree courtesy helps.
at no point have i been rude, or not nice.. I've just pointed you to the thread, that answers your questions..
now, if you just wanted a copied and pasted answer, i could have given you that only giving you the information that you wanted, how to get to Manhattan from JFK, however, the thread I pointed you to, is a wealth of information, and could easily come in useful.
there are many options to get into Manhattan, and a dedicated thread giving you a guide how to get into manhattan, and around it, is the best way!
i never said it was a stupid question, i just pointed you in the right direction to what i thought would give you an answer..
now, if you rephrased your question, and asked, "what are peoples opinions on using [this method of transport] to get to manhattan" you might have got a totally different reponse!
sorry if i offended..

who did you fly with? from manchester?
glad you're enjoy it... if you want a quick pint in a weird kinda bar, head the 47th street / broadway, and wander down to the edison hotel.. the bar there is kinda cool for a quiet drink before the evening really kicks off!!

Yep flew from Manc with Delta.
Wellington Hotel is nice but think it would make sense to stay out of times sq. As pointed out on here before, its so much more expensive around here, we tend to hop on the subway and head down lower east or around for brekkie or just walk a few blocks away.
End up in a very odd Chinese restaurant the other day, it was in some block of offices next to a room selling very expensive coats chained to railings
The subway is fantastic and easy to use. Although if you cant afford the theatre go on the subway at 2am from Soho. Excellent entertainment from very drunk and crazy people, one mexican woman screaming at a pillar whilst smoking (yes, in the underground), last night I got serenaded by a man with a massive Yamaha keyboard. I had to give him money purely for the fact that he got people to clap along and sing with him and also dance!
I love that round every corner something is happening.0 -
My OH wants dirty big buffalo wings, any recommendations?0

I had some great ones in a bar on the upper east side called the bullpen (a sports bar)...it was on 1st avenue near 88th street, but I'm sure there are some nearer to where you are
Glad to hear you're having a great time - I loved the subway too - there were some comedy moments0 -

2 places i'd recommend
Mudville 9, which is on chambers street at the corner of west broadway, (get the 1,2,3, to Chambers Street
or
Reade Street Bar & Kitchen, Reade Street, same subway stop..
it's a close call which has better wings....
