I'm going to plan it when I get there. I might either take the bus to the train station and go to Penn or I might take one of those shuttle mini van's. Not sure yet...You worked out how you're getting from Newark to your hotel?Debt free from January 2019 - Paid off £31,161.70 in 7 years.10 year anniversary0 -
Actually just booked SuperShuttle from the airport...Debt free from January 2019 - Paid off £31,161.70 in 7 years.10 year anniversary0

SuperShuttle isn't my thing. I heard someone once tell me that it took them 2 hours on the shuttle to get from JFK to their hotel. It just went around everywhere else, before their hotel..
on another note, I've plugged in my camera batteries to charge up now, and also packed most of my cables in a bag.
For most of my electronic items, i actually have US cables (laptop, iphones, cameras), so i don't need to find any adaptors or anything, just need to make sure I have picked them up.
Only thing to pack in that bag now, is my actual chargers for my laptop, which I'll do the night before I go.
One reason i'm being a bit more organised than normal, is that on the Wednesday night before i fly on the Thursday morning, is that I'm out at the Theatre with my mum, so I've got less time to get things organised!

Actually thinking that I might need to go and buy a new suitcase.. (My old Samsonite hard shell just weighs so much...)Debt free from January 2019 - Paid off £31,161.70 in 7 years.10 year anniversary0

Is it worth going out with the Samsonite and buying a new one over there to come back with?Actually thinking that I might need to go and buy a new suitcase.. (My old Samsonite hard shell just weighs so much...)
Adapters and things like that which I only ever need on holiday all live in a suitcase at home. And (of course!) I have a holiday purse which holds my overseas credit cards, my EHIC (OK I know it's no use for the USA but it's still where it lives!) and any leftover small change from previous trips. I've now bought a wallet cheap from Tesco where I can keep travel documents.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Is it worth going out with the Samsonite and buying a new one over there to come back with? quote]
I have thought about it, but the Samsonite was my grand dads before he passed away.
But I could go accross with just hand lugagge and come back with a suitcase...
Is that possible??Debt free from January 2019 - Paid off £31,161.70 in 7 years.10 year anniversary0
