great photies you have a eye for where to stand not just where to point.
I love B&W photies. My favorite one from them is the yellow cab. So crisp. Two underestimated landmarks there too Flat Iron and Lipstick great buildings in so different ways

LIPSTICK BUILDING! thank you for clearing that one up, I was unsure what to label that pic but have changed it now.

Just returned from my trip and wanted to thank each and everyone of you for your help on this thread especially MarkyMoo.

I stayed at the Affinia 50, Markymoo put me onto a fantastic offer on the hotel so stayed there for a very cheap price. Really enjoyed our stay which was only a 5minute walk from the Rockerfella centre.

awww.. thanks... i only help out cos i love the city, and want to push people in the right direction..

ok, this sound's corny, but any photos of the hotel / room (that are reasonably tidy) as i'll be there in a little over 2 weeks...

5 nights at the affinia 50, and 1 night at the Cosmo...

Nice photos btw.. i'm hoping to get some great photos while i'm out there this time!

:rotfl: I couldn't see where your pictures were labelled, but I think I worked out which one was the Lipstick building!

I am not a very visual person, but that one of the wires on the bridge has really made me think "Actually, I would like to go back again and do some of the bits we didn't do last time." I have a bit of a thing about bridges, for some reason: before I had my brain surgery I got it into my head that I had to see the Millau viaduct.

And I KNOW DH would like to see the Mad Hatter's Tea Party, we missed that entirely.

But there will be one condition, if DH wants to take me. I MUST be allowed to go shopping next time! :rotfl:

no.. don't do it... do carmelcarservice.com

$40 standard fare, plus toll and tip, but on the front page of the website, there is a $ave with Carmel Coupons

Once you go through the booking, on the last page, before you book, there is a tick box, which gives you a 3 digit code, for your booking, and then you print out the coupon on the $ave with Carmel Coupons page, and write in your discount code

$4 saving, so instead of $40 plus toll and tip, its $36 plus toll and tip

which is $9 cheaper than a yellow cab..

i've just booked mine, I just hope you see this and book with Carmel!

Thanks for that. Just checked here before booking and checked the front page. How long does it normally take to get through immigration? We arrive in JFK at 12.20pm. Would 1.30pm be realistic?

A few of my pictures can be found here http://www.flickr.com/photos/gratefulghoul/sets/72157613917689817/

As we spent so much time sightseeing on our first trip to New York, I look forward to a re-visit in the summer sometime where we can relax and enjoy more of Greenwich Villiage, Little Italy, Tribecca etc, we had a fantastic time!

Fab pics. :T Thats what I did, first time just whizzed about and it was freezing! Last time, went in May and soaked it all up and stayed in Greenwich Village. :D

SDF - you still here?:D
