tricky one.... when i went, it was a spur of the moment decision, and i booked online, and picked up tickets while i was out there. The knicks are probably playing sh*t right now, like normal, but it normally sells out with loads of people getting tickets closer to the time..
it's up to you if you want to risk it, the price of tickets never changes though
looked on ticketmaster - the price of tickets is outrageous!!!!!!!!!!! For about $60 (my budget) the seats are 4 floors up - would I see owt?????????????0 -

Just returned from my trip and wanted to thank each and everyone of you for your help on this thread especially MarkyMoo.
I stayed at the Affinia 50, Markymoo put me onto a fantastic offer on the hotel so stayed there for a very cheap price. Really enjoyed our stay which was only a 5minute walk from the Rockerfella centre.
Everynight when we returned to the hotel we were greeted with "WELCOME HOME SIR!" which may sound corny here in the UK but felt like a really nice touch whilst there.
A few of my pictures can be found here http://www.flickr.com/photos/gratefulghoul/sets/72157613917689817/
As we spent so much time sightseeing on our first trip to New York, I look forward to a re-visit in the summer sometime where we can relax and enjoy more of Greenwich Villiage, Little Italy, Tribecca etc, we had a fantastic time!0 -

I love B&W photies. My favorite one from them is the yellow cab. So crisp. Two underestimated landmarks there too Flat Iron and Lipstick great buildings in so different ways:cool: hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0 -

Thanks for the kind words about the pics guys.
I must have looked at every page on this thread (and previous one) and made a note of them on Trip Advisor as I went along.
If anyone is reading this and planning to goto New York, my best advice would be create your own trip for New York on tripadvisor.com
All the things that interest you including places to eat and things you learn from this thread, add to your itinerary, it's so helpful.
Thanks so much for everyone's help, it was amazing!0
