They haven't declined him now but if I postpone it till next christmas (thats when I want to go) he has plenty of time to sort his visa out or I can find someone to go with. I don't really want to go on my own to New York it feels like its a lonely place to be and I'm already lonely enough

I know they have a cheek as if having a bit of weed over 6 years ago is really that bad! They are just taking the pi$$ but there is nothing we can do about it.

Hi Guys, am back!!

I had a great time ( Of course) weather was great, was sunny most days i wish i'd have bought a lighter coat.
Flights were great both ways, no delays. When leaving MAN the Continental flight had been delayed 12hours!! Felt so sorry for those people.

Steph do you know what your going to do? what a shame however if you want to go with your bf then dont blame you going next xmas, 1 year will fly by.

We fly cont from man in 2 weeks - can you tell me how much the earphones are or do we get them free? also, do we get a goodie pack i.e. eyemask etc?

I always take earphones from previous flights: I've got one set which have two pins, but one folds down for the sockets which only take one pin IYSWIM. Which means they seem to fit all aeroplanes!

I'm glad you had a brilliant time!!

At this moment in time we're about to contact my OH's Mp I don't know what he can do but it must be something? Failing that it will be next year

This might sound really weird but I have no one else to go to as my parents are off to Thailand the day before me and I have no friends as I work from home so I don't get out much Sad really aint it

So other than that I'm pretty screwed.

I really hope that things work out for you and your able to go but If your not able to go please dont feel too disheartened, easier said then done I know but the next year will fly by ( as this one has).

No not at all steph, plus I bet it just wouldnt be the same and you wouldn't enjoy it as much if you went with someone else as you knew you were ment to go with your OH.

Leni, I flown with Delta and they were free. Pretty sure that they will be with Continental too. Not sure about an eye mask however you should get a blanket and pillow.

Thankyou thatsfabulous I'm too flying with delta (hopefully) I know I can postpone the flights for a year but it will cost me £150 each person so it would be £300.

As for the hotel I found a direct email address for the hotel and emailed them this afternoon after not having a reply from the people I booked it through. Little did I know that the person I had emailed was the sales director he replied straight away saying that he will do everything in his power to make sure I stay at the hotel when the visa comes through and if I need anymore help please ask him I can't say fairer than that!

Earphones are free with Continental

No goody bag though.
