  • lowrig - it's under 1km between SSS and Pier 11 where the ferry leaves from, which is no more than a 5 minute gentle stroll so you should have plenty of time as long as the queues at Tkts aren't too long (they tend not to be compared to the Times Sq booth).

Also check out chinatown ice cream factory on bayard street

    Love this place!

We leave soon for 10 days in NYC, not much in the way of touristy stuff planned as we have been so many times before but we did get a Crown Tour booked :D

Mainly plan to hang out with friends in Brooklyn and do what my friend calls the 'Pacman tour' basically walking from district to district getting a small bite to eat or a drink in each whether its cannoli, ice cream, a burrrito or dim sum that way we get to see plenty and try lots of different stuff.
My one indulgence is a trip out to the Secret Stash in Redbank ;)

    thanks
  • TVPIPE,
Theres has been mixed reviews on WC if you do a search will get more information to help you make up your mind.

I have been, last year and was not very impressed.

If you want and can afford luxury lables gucci, chanel etc and want a handbag reduced from $3000 to $2000 they am sure u'll like it.

They did have good prices on Nike and DKNY but had to pay $40+ to get there so not really saving.
New York ♥..........These street will make you feel brand new, Big lights will inspire you.
No place in the world that can compare ♥ 2nd October 2010 ♥

Your welcome! Theres Century 21, Daffy's, Tjmaxx ( americas tkmaxx but better than ours) & Filene's basement.
Most of them are spotted all around the city so easy to fit into your visit to the attractions. There is only one Century 21 however and this it downdown. All seem to be very popular stores with the tourists.

There is a place called Jersey Gardens which is about 25mins, about $4 on the bus and they have a Nike store, Tommy Hilfiger etc and I think this could be worth the trip. Although like any outlet it is hit or miss so it could be a waste of your day & not everyone recommends it as you can get your bargins in the city. Plus you get 10/11% off (visitor discount) in Macys and Bloomingdales so thats really good.

I went to Woodbury once while I was in NYC. Thankfully, I was with friends, and got a lift there and back. I picked up a pair of shoes for $20, that should have been $100.

Ok, that's a bargain, but on subsequent trips, I've picked up shoes at Century 21 for $50, that should have been $100, but haven't had to pay $39 to get to woodbury and back, which is what it is on a Bus.

Don't bother.. it's really not worth it, unless you want HIGH end designer stuff at a reduced price, which you won't be able to get in Manhattan..

ooh look.. thatsfabulous has said the same..
