The bus is $20 am I right in thinking it takes 5 hours each way? That doesnt seem too bad at all considering the flight charges - Marky how much were your internal flights in the end?

The bus takes forever, and you can get tickets for as low as $1 each way if you book waaaay in advance, and travel on the crap times...

as for a flight, i think that cost me $90 for a return, however i love flying, so always going to choose that over any other option..

found the info here - https://www.delta.com/traveling_checkin/inflight_services/economy_class/dining.jsp
A selection of beer is available for $5, while wine, spirits and cocktails are available for a charge of $7 per beverage in Economy Class on Delta and Delta Connection carrier flights. On international flights of approximately six hours or longer, beer and wine are offered complimentary in the Economy cabin.

Ooh... that could be dangerous! Roll on Monday morning when I can try it out!! A couple of free drinks to start off my holiday is just the business.

Is the confirmation number all I need to check in at airport? Can't check in from home as no printer but have printed off the itinerary from work.. Can't remember what I did last year, I seem to think I just scanned my Skymiles card at a kiosk.. could that be right?

Apologies if am being stoopid.. last minute panic as usual!

Thanks for that - I'd seen $190 which I though was silly money

I think I'll bus it because you can leave at 2am and arrive at 7am and then I dont have to worry about the flying messing up my running (dvt and all that) :D, but I'll keep an eye out for cheap flights - got ages to think about it anyway :o
  • I flew with AirFrance (affiliated with Delta), and the drinks were free. They came round maybe three times with the drinks trolley, but they had an area towards the back of the plane where you could get your own drinks.
They had an ok selection too, a merlot, a white wine I cant remember, Heineken, champagne, and different soft drinks.
Oh and I only had an itinery thing too, couldnt online check-in beforehand. The staff at the airport were really helpful, but there will probably just be some little screens - You insert your passport, confirm identity and then it brings up all flight details - Very impressed!

Yeah sorry I meant for the codeshare - it doesnt recognise the AF flight code...

I think it was the same price for mine but I got 2,000 points for going through lastminute.com for one of my loyalty cards so it was worth a bit more :D
