going to NY next month....thinking of staying at a hotel at heathrow the night before....anyone know what these 'undercover' hotels are like and how far from the airport?0
-
Never stayed at any at heathrow - think those secret hotels are a bit naff to be honest - often not as good as advertised.
What time is you flight? You could stay at a travelodge or something on the piccadilly line - tubes start at 5am ish and its costs about £2.50 per person with osyter0 -
yes but I can't leave my car at the travel lodge for 5 days when I'm in NY...can I ..flights at 08.550

Drive to Heathrow  the parking charges are shocking...but then its £2 for me to get there on the easy bus so I am lucky0

Yep £61 at Terminal 5
its £99 at the 'undercover' Heathrow hotel for the night...and leave the car there
just need to know how far is 'not far' from the airport that they describe0 -
Just had a complete moment of madness! Booked for us to go to NY next month. It was a good deal and we have been dying to go back so took the plunge and booked. Came to £534 each which includes flights and 5 nights at the Raddison Lexington. Rooms are on the small side but who cares? Promised daughter some Laboutins for her 18th so hopefully will save some dosh there as well!
If you need any help with the Louboutins, I'm your girl! :rotfl::rotfl:
Unfortunately, I know a *lot* about them :rotfl:

We normally stop in a hotel the night before. We stayed in the Park inn ( I think ) last year, and this year we stayed in a travel lodge and spent the extra cash on the drop and fly parking so you leave your car with the parking dude and then just go to check in, they return it for you after. I will admit it was the best decision we ever made.
Going to Iceland in September and we have booked to leave the car in the short stay at Terminal 1 for three days. It was only £4 more expensive than the drop and fly and we thought it might be worth a go.
There are discount codes around for purple parking with virgin and rac.0 -
