Personally I would buy before you go ive used broadwaybox.com before, and it gets a lot of positive reviews, for discount tickets.

The other alternative is go to the TKTS booth/s however this means lining up and their is no guarantee that will have the tickets to the shows you want.

At least if you pre-purchase you can plan around the show.

    Hi

Me and my other half are planning to go to New York for a few days in late Sept.

We obvously want to do it in a Money Saving way but all internet searches on cheap flights and cheap packages etc leave us worried about the locations we might be staying in. It feels like we need some expert, travel agency advice on the cheap.

Anyone been to NY and got any tips? We want to stay somewhere central and safe but apart from that can be fairly flexible on exact dates and where we fly from.

    Appreciate any advice.

    Cheers

Kim, I'm looking at the lion king aswell and, it seems safe to say, tickets for it are never available from tkts. So its a once-in-a-lifetime trip so going to bite the bullet and book with ticketmaster.

    Anyone have any advise?

the thirty thirty hotel is a debatable one. Some say it's actually an illegal hotel operating in NYC, but it is there. It used to be a womens shelter, and it's over time been coverted, btu there are still some people living there under the original building terms and conditions.
