so from times square you can get the 2 or 3 to clark street or R to court streetLive each day like its your last because one day you'll be right0 -
if you're not staying a saturday, then the costs will be skyhigh, I'd be amazed if that website can get your holiday booked for £1100...

Thats what it was offering however beacuse i hesitated (trying to find info about the company) it's now gone up. I'll just have to shop around a bit more!0 -
You're after a 7 day metro card and they are a bargain if you intend to use public transport a lot, when you consider a one way subway ride is $2 you will easily do your money.
You cant get it delivered to your hotel and you cant print them off you just need to pop to your local subway station and buy one, simples!!!!
Yep, agree. Very easy machines to use. It's a touch screen thing and you ask it for the 7 day metrocard. I think we could only buy 1 card at a time, couldn't see an option for multiple purchases but we just got one each for $25 dollars and used cash to pay. What I liked about using it on the subway was that unlike on the Tube you only need to swipe it going into the subway, and not then mess around trying to find it as you leave a station.0 -

my thoughts are that, even though they might appear cheap, you'll send through the reservation without a saturday night stay in, and then boom, you'll get an e-mail saying the price has gone up, blah blah blah......
maybe i'm just cynical..

Hello
Does anyone know the best place to get Wi Fi access ?
Dont mind if it's a cyber cafe.
If its free then even better.
I am staying at the Ave Hotel NYC in Sept so some thing in the area would be even better.
Thanks:T0 -
do you mean - On The Ave Hotel?
if so, they offer high speed broadband for $12.95 a day.. *dies with shock*
I know that some of the parks downtown offer free wifi, but that's right at the other end of the island to where that hotel is.
I know there are plenty of hotels that offer it for free too, it's just a shame that your hotel wants to charge you money for it..

before you actually pay, just let your laptop search for an open network, you never know what you can find...

Right guys I've got an accomodation dilemma......
I've booked the East Village Bed and Coffee for my trip in November. It seemed a great option at the time: cheap; own kitchen area (I'm running the marathon so wanted to make some pasta/ carbs!) and kooky.
On doing a bit but research and getting some more info on the marathon it looks like i'll have to get up really early on the sunday, cab to Times Square to pick up the organsised bus to the start. Then when the marathon finishes in Central Park i'd have to get a cab/ subway back to the B&B when I seriously will not be in a healthy way:o Added to this the fact that it's a bit out of the way of the majority of the sights we want to see (I know everywheres within easy reach in theory but I'll be hobbling!!)
Anyway I did a bit of a search and I can get the Park Central for around £930 for 8 nights. Has anyone stayed here before, it's got good reviews on TripAdvisor, close to Central Park and the other midtown attractions (shopping, times square, museums etc..)
I've pretty much made my mind up but would like your input. I won't lose anything (deposit etc.) by cancelling the B&B.
Sorry for the long post, I look forward to your thoughts.
Cheers,
Paddy0
