Of course we can recommend a place to stay with 2 children, but, you may balk at the prices, so the best thing to do, is let us know what your budget is, and then we can recommend somewhere accordingly.

I went to New York with my 2 children last month. Many hotels offer rooms with 2 queen sized beds (we stayed at the Westin in Times Square) alternatively I have seen Doubletree Guest Suites and Radio City Apartments (also in Times Square area) recommended.
Yes - it will probably cost more than many of the deals quoted on this thread but not an extornionate amount!0 -
I second the Westin Times Square for the size of the Two double "heavenly" beds and the room you get inside your room (you can sit 2 adults and 2 kids) try to get a higher floor for the amazing view and if you are going soonish i think they are offering rooms for about $199 per night.(about £120 plus tax)5 mins times square/subway 10mins grand central/chrysler 15-esb/ macys /msg/totr 20 central park/ flat iron all walking . Yes a bit pricey but within a stones throw of most and a subway or bus /cab to ground zero/battery park /wall street piece of mind for a decent hotel with kids is priceless:cool: hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0

$200 is not pricey for a room in NYC... that's cheap.. even the cosmo hotel can be slightly more than that for a room with 2 double beds in..

How old are the children, and will they share a bed?Can anyone recommend a place to stay with 2 children. Never been before we always going to Florida, But I would really like to see New York, so I am thinking about surprising the OH, this tread is fab.
We took 3 boys last year, aged 16, 18 and 21, and although there were moans about the very idea of having to share a bed, they coped. We always had a bedroom for them, and one for us, and when they were given the chance of one of them coming in a bed in our room they preferred to stay together. They've heard DH snoring ...Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Flights Flights Flights.
Actually writing this in the hope someone can make me feel better! I am going to NYC in December just before Christmas (19-23) and have been looking at lfights for a while. They started off in the £350 bracket and I am/was holding out for the magical 3-month window that I too swear by. However recently the flights have shot up firstly to around £400 and now from anywhere from £420 to £490.
Has anyone travelled to NYC and did they experience a reduction in flight prices (like i say i know flights can be a bit of a lottery but hope someone can offer some specific insight)0 -
jcartlidge - that time of year will always be popular so the prices may well rise and rise.
Assuming you're flying from London if the typical price seen is £400. Would you consider a non-direct flight? Quick browse on Expedia and Air France have a fare on your dates for £336, connecting in Paris outbound, direct flight back. Alternatively, a direct flight both legs with them is £352."Who throws a shoe, honestly?"
