npsmama - have you been chaining at the end of the row? You'll need to do this or it will alwasy go wonky!

Did a funky scarf for a friends b-day using Attic's ripple... Really quick and Im quite happy with how its turned out. scarf004.jpg

npsmama, it sounds to me like you are doing your turning chain and then doing a treble into the next stitch, If you do your first treble into the base of the turning chain you should find your rows will keep all their stitches.

Hope that makes sense to you!

Love the scarf. I've been contemplating in trying her pattern for a long time but the size of the project has deterred me slightly. Start of with a scarf is more appealing, thanks for the idea.:)

thought I'd mention that the mark on the radiator is from when there was a red sofa pressed up against it, I dont live in a murder scene:rotfl:

Pixey, its a great patern and super easy once you get used to it, I think I would get bored on something the size of a blanket but this was quick and cheerfull - I started it last night and finished it this afternoon. The only annoying bit was that long first row working into the chains.

Sounds like that's where my problem lies. Thanks :)

NTBY, I love the idea of using the ripple lengthwise but haven't got round to doing it yet - yours might just give me a push in the right direction as I like it a lot! Are you going to put tassels or a fringe or something on the ends? I think that would look lovely, especially if you continue the colour of each row into it.

And there was I thinking someone might have interrupted you while you were counting stitches .......!

I was planning on putting on a fringe, actually. Im just afraid it will make the bottom of the scarf a bit bulky, if you know what I mean? Right now it will fit comfortably under a jacket, but I dont think it would if I added more of a fringe.

And OH did interrupt me about 150 stitches into the chain! I got very annoyed, but he thought I was just singing to myself rather than counting... my eccentricities proceed me

Hi sorry if this has been mentioned before I haven't read the whole thread, I have wanted to learn to crochet for ages but as a leftie no one seemed to be able to teach me, I found out last night there are loads of tutorials on youtube sprecifically for left handed people and completed my first project last night (a baby headband for my little girl), hoping to complete a flower to add to it later!!

Hi Mickey8260, well done on completing your first project - there will be no stopping you now, you're well on the way to addiction!

I do hope you'll post a pic for us when you've added your flower, we love to see new things.
