You're right Lizzie, I think we've all been busy - I certainly have. Here are some fabric bowls that I made - there are three that nest inside each other, and I made them from an old M&S bedspread ripped into strips. Very hard on the hands!

I'm quite pleased with them. Hope you like them too.

I've also been making what feels like HUNDREDS of Lucy's summer garden grannies that will eventually become a blanket - will post when it's done.

Looking forward to seeing the twins' blankets!

jennyjelly...you posted pics yay :T I love your baskets well done. They look really sturdy as well.
Can't wait to see the granny square blanket when it's finished :)
I'm not sure what to do with the crochet hearts I made for my valentine garland. May sew two together, stuff and attach ribbon...or something. I can't seem to find the time at the moment.

They're lovely, Jennyjelly - what a great idea! I'm very impressed.

I've lost my way a bit this week and done absolutely nothing towards finishing my blanket, but I've had lots of ideas for other things - hopefully going to pick it up again tonight.

artydoll that is so sweet. I just love looking at everyones projects.

Here's the baby blanket I was talking about...
    blanket.jpg

Started as a granny square and I just kept going. Added a shell border to the edge.
The second one I'm doing is a slight colour variation on this one. Not traditional baby colours, just a bit different :)

Added a close up of the stitches. Colour looks a bit paler now though.

Artydoll, I love the little red dog, he's so cute. And he even has a little collar, bless!

Dizzy lizzie, what a pretty little blanket, lovely subtle colours. Personally I'm not too fond of the pink and blue thing, though I know it's traditional, and much prefer what you have done.

For my baskets I used a 10mm hook (the biggest in my coloured aluminium set) and tore strips of fabric about 1" wide. It's really heavy duty cotton as you can imagine for a bedspread, more like heavy curtains than sheeting, so my wrists were screaming by the time I'd finished!

jennyjelly, those bowls, are just wonderful, recycling at it's best. Don't think my hands would stand up to it these days or I would be having a go.

dizzylizzy, love the blanket, how nice to do it to match the nursery.

artydoll, your little red dog is so cute.

I have almost finished my second pink and white ripple blanket. I've had a lot of crochet time this week as we have been visiting my aunt 120 miles away, so lots of time in the car. I am not using my own lap top at the moment but as soon as I get my own back I am hoping to post some piccies. Don't hold your breath, I can't even post a comment on a blog, I'm on a steep learning curve,

    Hi bellaquidsin
would love to see one of your ripple blankets when you get a chance to post a pic. I might have a try at one when I have finished this next blanket.

bellaquidsin - thank you so much! I'm working on some made of narrower strips of thinner fabric using an 8mm hook and believe me it's so much easier, I'm sure anyone could do it. I've raided the charity shops where the pillow cases all seem to be 25p each and I've cut them up using this method which cleverly gives you one nice long strip.

Have a go, it's really satisfying!
Oh dear, here we go again.
