Hi people,
Not been on here much but am an avid crocheter (used to mainly knit but taught myself to crochet too
).
I am currently making a granny square cushion cover but here are some face cloths I made recently in cotton yarn from lidl- one in this pic is knitted too:
Here also are some wristwarmers:
Artydoll the shawl is lovely and so is the blanket pollyskettle
.
Hope everyone is ok.

artydoll love your latest baby shawl and enjoyed looking at your work on flickr. Do you paint as well?
I am so pleased with my ripple baby blanket, I have started another one, smaller this time, just big enough to use on a car seat. Wish I knew more babies, I think I am on a roll.

Bella.
You could always sell them ? Or knit some for charity (such as preemies) ?
You could do darker colours for elderly folks ?
Once I finish my cushion I am planning to start a ripple one

Yes, lots of my work has gone down these routes in the past but now that we are OAP's I'm aiming to cut down expenditure on pressies. It's just that I am getting a 'glut' of pink and white blankets and no little girl babies on the horizon at the moment, but I'm sure they'll come in one day. I have a blue and white one in store too so I'm well prepared if there should be a baby boom round here.

Oh ok, I have been doing charity stuff too, but also limiting it as we are on a fairly tight budget too. Babies always appear eventually so at least you are very well prepared when they do come

This threads been a bit quiet, where is everyone...busy crocheting? Have just finished a baby blanket so will post a pic later on. I've started on the second one now as 'mum to be' is expecting twins.
They're not traditional colours. The nursery is a coffee and cream colour so the blankets are to match, intermingled browns and creams. I was a bit unsure at first but now it's finished it looks a really 'rich' colour. iykwim.
What is everyone else up to. Please post. Missing you all...
