Dizzy Lizzie this is a great pattern for bigger hearts. I've made a few with the intention of making a valentine's garland.

    Love the cushion Artydoll ;)

Hi Thriftlady Great minds think alike :T...that's the one I found and posted when I googled :)
Hopefully I'll get to make some soon but have promised the 'kitchen' I will give it a good early spring clean this weekend. I really really am not in the mood though, I want to crochet and do 'nice' things :)

    Loving that cushion artydoll :T.

I finally got my head around the basics and have produced 9 granny squares using Lucy's Summer Granny Square tutorial (will have to leave a big thank you comment on her blog) which will be turned into a cushion. I've bitten the bullet and started a blanket/throw now. Eeek! I'll post a picture when I have time.

    Hi all,

Does anyone know of a good place to get a set of hooks. Ive been reading this thread for ages and really want to learn. I remember my mum made a huge blanket that always came out when i was ill. Id love to re create one for my DS. Just wondered if there was anywhere online? Tried my local charity shop and they said they didnt have any.

    Thanks

The Happy Hooker book is quite good, but to be honest, I think you'd be better off learning from all the various tutorials on the net, especially the video ones on YouTube.
