Or these if you just want one or two. I bought the ebay set and love them so I'd agree with bargainbird.
I tried bamboo ones but personally didn't like them as they were too 'grippy'.
Alternatively head for the charity shops, my local one sells them for 45p each - they are the old fashioned grey ones but they do the job just the same!Oh dear, here we go again.0 -

I just learned to crochet at the weekend and I bought myself those hooks last night

Arkonite-babe and Bunny82, I can see what you are doing wrong.
Ok, say you have a row of 10 doubles (dc). When you turn your work round to go back along the row you need to make 2 chains (this is called a turning chain and just gets your hook to the right height to do the next stitch) and then do your first double into the last double of the previous row.
I think what you are doing is making your turning chain immediately above the last stitch and doing your first stitch into the last-but-one, which is why your rows are getting shorter.
