Ok, to find the elusive mountain and sun icon...
Start from the "Quick Reply" box at the bottom of THIS page
There should be lots of icons just above where you type... it has ones that look like B (for bold) a slanted I (for Italics), a U with an underline, and so on?
Amongst those icons, there is a yellow-ish box, 7th one from the left... It's between an Earth with two link chains, and a speach bubble... see it? - it's suppose to have a mountain and a sun, but it's not the best image of them.
Click on that icon
Should bring up the box asking for the image URL?
Paste the link into there...0 -

When you reply on here, above the text box are loads of icons for bold, italic, underline etc. The icon to insert a picture is 14 icons along. On my small netbook screen, it looks a bit like a postcard with a mountain on the bottom and a stamp in the top right. That's the bit you click on and it will bring up a box to paste the URL of the picture.
Edited to add, the 14th icon is if you've clicked on the advanced reply option, rather than the quick reply option.0 -
Now I see - I was looking on the Flickr page for the sun/mountain thingy. Thanks for being so patient pink, and also Gingervamp for the final nudge in the right direction.Oh dear, here we go again.0 -
Yay! Well done!!! :j:j:j:j:j:j:j

Argh! I've just started the 'learn to crochet' dvd. I can do chain stitches, and I can do treble stitches, but doubles? Not a chance. It seems to be so tight that I can't get the hook through both the loops, when you're trying to pick up the stitches in the first place (if that makes sense). Does anyone have any advice?
TIA
Caroline**Thanks to everyone on here for hints, tips and advice!**:D

Sorry angeltreats, I missed your post the first time round
Thank you for your kind commentI didn't line it, I've no idea how to make the inside lining bit out of fabric, as I'm useless with sewing. I may learn out to and line it at a later date

Relax. That's the best thing to do. By the sounds of what you are describing, you are pulling on the yarn and the piece you are making too tightly (does your hands hurt?) and therefore the stitches are becoming very tight.
The yarn on your left hand (if you're right handed) shouldn't be digging into your fingers, should just be lightly resting. Your right hand should just be lightly holding your crochet piece in place, rather than pulling on it.
btw, your treble stitches should be going through both the loops too!0 -
Please can someone tell me if I insert this link

do all the photos show up or just the one on the page?
Thanks
You want to use this link if you want to show all your photos:

and this link if you want to just show off your December 2009 Crafts set:

Lol that's the thing, I'm doing trebles and am able to pick up both the loops with ease, which is why I'm bemused as to why I can't manage the double!I must be pulling it too tightly, but it doesn't seem like I am. Maybe when I'm doing doubles there's less to hold on to so I'm pulling it and not even realising?
