I've just printed the pdf off. It is now going to be top of my 'To-Do' list. I am slowly getting back into crochet - that ripple blanket i started years ago WILL be finished this year. I even have a family member having a little girl who i think would appreciate it.

Picture on its way of an almost finished baby ripple! :) just waiting for my fone to load up the photobucket to then upload the pics :)

    Thank you :)

I'm not as happy with the orange as i thought i would be, nor with its placement, but its my 1st time ever having to decide colours, shades, placements etc. Its on its 48th row just now and will only be as big as the orange allows, as i only have one ball left.
I started this about 2 years ago for my sis as we thought she was having a girl, she turned out to be he and i lost all the momentum of this blanket. its been in a protective bag ever since. Just been told my cousin is having a girl in May, so want it finished pretty soon - and then i can start on the 'As-you-go' blanket posted above for my son.

I think the orange works well. Hopefully the blanket will become a favourite and the orange makes it less "babyish" when she's a bit older.

im thinking it should have been the cream, pale pink, lilac, raspberry then orange, but i ahd already started by time i found an orange that wasnt too bright or too dull.
Its also in cotton/linen and not wool

How had I not found this thread?! Taught myself to crochet middle of last year - gradually redoing the cushions on the sofa, got a pushchair blanket approaching about 50% done (kids are so tall that cosytoes aren't fitting anymore) and the Attic hexagons as well, plus a huge bag of Stylecraft in the Attic colour pack that arrived yesterday that I'm toying with doing a ripple for sofa snuggling in.

I'm on a roll ! haha. finished the blanket, it just needs a border and then to be blocked into shape. Worked out that the cotton cost me £35 for this blanket. Baby better still be using it when she reaches her 21st birthday haha!
I am currently making a few cakes for a little girls tea party, they need to be sent away by Monday at the latest, so I should have a picture up by then :)

    Gorgeous blanket Lola. Well done
And a very cute set dibuzz too.
I just don't think you can beat handknitted or crocheted baby clothes and blankets.
