  • hmo and glitterkitty Those are gorgeous. You should both be really proud.

I have got to undo 26 rows of my 84 row blanket as I realised I had missed a purple row out of the rainbow pattern. Frustrated is not the word! I was on the final row and wondered why I had far more purple yarn left over than any other colour. I was so looking forward to doing the edging.

I did consider it, but it's a gift for my brothers baby and I knew it would annoy me forever. The baby isn't due for another 5 months so I do have plenty of time! :rotfl:

  • thanks for the great feedback everyone :-) I really hope they like them! They took me a long time, but now I can get back to working on my own rainbow ripple blanket :-) (which you can just see a little bit of in the top right hand corner of my last pic!)

Went to my friends house last night, she has it as a craft night and has done for about 4 years now, i fell away from it what with no babaysitters and my gaelic class and life in general. Well anyways i went with a ball of wool a 5.5 hook and no idea what i wanted to do - i have a ripple blanket sitting waiting on me that i started well over a year ago, i have absolutely no motiation to complete it. i started it as i thought my sister was going to have a little girl. when it was a boy i fionished the row and didnt pick it back up. i have a few blankets waiting to be completed, a few babay toys, but whilst doing my clear out i found a blanket i had decided to do to use up blue wool i had - like a dark denim blue, i have done 3 massive granny squares already, so decided to do another with that last night. i also use the 3/2/3 plus one ch in the straight my friend does 2/2/2 plus 1 in the straight

Help needed please , i'm struggling to find any videos or instructions on how to join granny squares, where the join is flat. I don't want a raised seam as it is for a baby blanket, also has to be pretty easy to follow as i'm a novice.

If anyone can point me in the right direction i would be really grateful.

    Evening all,

Gorgeous makes, love the blanket and cushion. The colours are lovely and spring like.
I've finished my second ever crochet project. A pair of baby bootees for our new grand baby due in October. I thought these would do for either a boy or a girl.

HMO I'm definitely going to do a cushion like that, I love it.
