    Is crochet easier than knitting?

It's certainly less boring because it grows much more quickly than knitting. :D

Just saw this super easy idea for gifts.

I love how she makes pretty washcloths and puts a nice soap on top then gifts them with ribbon.

I think I will replace all my facecloths eventually in the bathroom :)

Compbunny and mumof3 - I find crochet both quicker and easier than knitting. Just remember to not get too tense when you start your stitches and this makes it a lot harder and they get too tight and small. Also dont get stressed if it starts off bit tight and hard going cos it gets much easier as you work your way through the rows.

Jumblejack - love the blanket, well done! :T I've had a go at knitting a few dishcloths and they are amazing! They have just the right texture to scrub but not too rough or coarse. Also they bleach up really well.

Also dont worry about using a kids 'how to', thats helped me hugely!! Still refer to it sometimes now. Also some of the magazines do great freebie wool/patterns etc.

Jumblejack - the blanket is absolutely stunning! Well done :T:T:T

OrkneyStar - thanks for the magic circle link. It looks much easier than the usual method of making a circle of chains and crocheting into them.

I've been playing with snowflakes. I found lots of patterns on ravelry so I'm working my way through some of them. :)

I find it much easier than knitting - but I've always been a disaster zone with the knitty sticks. I used to get so frustrated as I love love love yarn. Now I can buy yarn knowing it will (eventually) get made into something.

I went on a course last feb and have just started selling scarves etc to friends as well as making presents.

I can knit, can actually knit fairly well, have knitted for years, but recently finding I am enjoying crochet much more than knitting (so much so my half finished socks have been laid aside to crochet other things!).
