Persnally, I've never done circular cushions - though I've got a pattern for one 'somewhere' lol.
I should imagine that there's less 'sewing up work' involved in doing a circular one - but it would probably be a bit more expensive to buy a cushion pad to fit :undecided.0 -
Same here!!
Where did you get pattern or did you just make it up?
New to this forum but been crocheting for little while now. Loving all your tips and inspired by your photos.:T
I just adapted a basic sphere pattern and made them different sizes and colours to suit. I started with the smallest one and worked up, and crocheted a 'frill' onto saturn and uranus to represent the rings. Used left over stash yarns too. DS likes it and it is hung up on his wall now using sewing elastic to make a sort of garland.
Recently finished another hat with same pattern as the one I posted to my sis, this time for me:
Just started crocheting a beret for me, in a cream aran yarn.Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

Thanks, might have a go when finished all other projects go on the go!
Loving that hat :T
Just finished a little baby girl one that's similar. Question- I've just sewed the flowers on by the middle so they raise up a bit, it looks nice but do you think it will survive a little baby or should I sew all round edges too?Home Schooling mum budgeting for 2 adults, 2 teens, 2 little ones & 3 cats

I personally leave a long enough tail on the flower so I can sew once round the inner bit and then also a stitch or two on each petal.Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

Have you tried having a look on youtube for some videos?
It takes a wee while but it does click. I used to be more of a knitter, finding I enjoy crochet a lot more these days.

Just finished 2 crochet scarves for christmas presents - used the attic 24 vintage vertical stripe pattern and use some bargain garn studios yarn - 70% wool and 30% alpaca that is gorgeously soft and only £1.50 a ball. One each for my OH (purple and grey) and dad (beige and grey).People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

Jumblejack - loving the granny squares :T It's going to be even more gorgeous when you've finished it. It's a bit of a pain putting them all together though
If you're doing a circular cushion, it's best to find a pattern as you can very easily end up with a bump in the middle where it won't lie flat. Other than that it's fairly easy to do and as you say, less sewing up!
LisaLou1982 - stick with it! It does get easier once you figure out how to do each type of stitch. attic24's website is brilliant.2025 Fashion on the ration
