Eeee - I remember when crocheting was fashionable back in the sixties. My mum used to do it and I think even I had a go. :o:rotfl:

I love those wellies Box of Fluffies. I used to have a book of crochet booties and they had all sorts - sandals, trainers, baseball boots etc. It's gone missing in one of my many moves over the years unfortunately.
  • Oh those wellies!! So cute :D

I taught myself to crochet towards the end of last year by watching tutorials on Youtube, my friends laughed at first at this 'old lady craft' but now they all want stuff doing for babies etc.

I'm currently working on a blanket for my friends new baby due in 3 weeks, it's made up of solid granny squares and i now need to join them together and do a border. Having a bit of a struggle with the joining though  This was the layout a couple of weeks ago, i've since made more squares so it now has 42.

This was my first project, a cot blanket for DD2, took ages but well worth it!

  • I'm loving those blankets lilmisskitkat. Lovely vibrant colours, something that is often lacking in baby blankets etc.

So, I've just completed a monochrome flower scarf, some colourful galoshes and a chunky cowl so thought I'd share them with you.

This took a lot of patience but definitely worth it in the end.

I don't believe in the concept of hell, but if I did I would think of it as filled with people who were cruel to animals.

I have been missing from this thread for a while but I have been busy crocheting up a storm! After passing through an amigurumi phase I am now making oodles of shawls, some with bead work, which is a lovely new challenge!

Sounds quite painful Rummer. :rotfl: Looking forward to seeing pics of the shawls though, they sound lovely.
