Fluffies. Do you have a pattern for that blanket please?

I have just got back into crochet after 35 years out of it and have decided that instead of buying a throw for my bedroom (I am decorating) that I will make one.

And how do you make these ripple blankets please?

  • I've been inspired to have another go at crochet, I've tried before but never stuck with it long enough to get anywhere.
Those blankets are beautiful, I would love to be able to make something like that.

I'm going to start reading through this thread for hints, but in the meantime does anyone have any recommendations for particular websites for beginners?
I will start looking, but its handy to know which ones are good to look at.

    Thank you

I always recommend YouTube. I taught myself to crochet watching tutorials on there. Pick a simple project (I went for a hat) and play and pause until it clicks :) once you're started ravelry is fantastic

I agree. A few of our staff taught themselves from y*outube. The tutorials are excellent.

Sorry for not responding sooner redlady. The pattern is from Jan Eaton's 200 Ripple Stitch Patterns. The book includes patterns for knitting and crochet.

  • So, I've just completed a monochrome flower scarf, some colourful galoshes and a chunky cowl so thought I'd share them with you.

This took a lot of patience but definitely worth it in the end.
