Hello there and a great big welcome to the thread :)

Have you had a look at http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/crochet there is a huge selection of all sorts of patterns there? You may well find something you are looking for, and many of them are free. You may have to register first though.

Good luck, and I really hope you find something that is just right for you.

    Hello :)
I only recently found this lovely thread and having looked back through previous posts, there are obviously some very clever crocheters around. It's years since I did any crochet and it seems the only patterns to be found now are for squares, doilies, scarves and so on.I used to have patterns for adult cardigans and jackets but it appears to be impossible to find these now - the ones you find on eBay are so dated.....remember the dresses we used to wear in the 60's :D
Does anyone know where I may be able to get patterns for these sort of things that are more modern? I'm not so good that I can adapt patterns but I have made big chunky jackets in the dim and distant past that were really lovely.

Don't forget to post pics.....we love pics :D
    Oh and hello :)

Thank you for the welcome and for the link.....I'm off to investigate right now :)
I let my mind wander and it never came back!
  • Just finished my first 'proper' crochet project (well second as I made it but it was too small so made another which is bigger). This is my first big project following a proper pattern from Ravelry rather than just doing squares. I have made it longer than the pattern so I can wear it with leggings.

BTW Ravelry (and the declutter thread) has made me face up to how much wool I have stashed away. To date I have 54 entries in my stash. :D

That looks lovely :D! I am still plugging away at my blanket and spinning for the scarf I am planning on crocheting.

  • Gorgeous. Ravelry is great isn't it? I'm still busy working on a ripple blanket.

Problem is there are just too many patterns. .... And I keep seeing major projects I want to start when I should be doing small things to use up the mahoosive stash of wool I have. :D

:D Oh I know the feeling...but then what happens is I find it difficult to start anything and spend more time thinking and googling lovely craft things instead of doing some of them!
