My baby blanket is finished, so it's back to the big Ripple blanket for now, although I should really be decorating ;)

I am becoming hooked (:rotfl:) on amigurumi, now that I have got the hang of it, and I wondered if anyone had any book recommendations?

So far I have made an owl and a chick and they are sooooo cute!

To those that are starting out I found the book Cute and Easy Crochet a great guide with good projects and clear stitch pics and instructions.

I haven't managed to get 'into' amigurumi yet. Not sure I will. What do you do with the things you make?

Might have to take a look at the book though.

At the moment because I am so chuffed with them they are sitting on my mantle piece in the living room :rotfl:not sure what I will do with them long term although my DD is keen to give them a home :D

The book I recommended is just general crochet not amigurumi.

Unfortunately I don't either DS1 or DS2 would appreciate having a cute crocheted animal in their room. A few years ago maybe... but I think they're a little bit too old now. :rotfl:

I love amigurumi, I give mine to any charity that is asking for blankets or hats, those in need, need a cuddle too :-)

Absolutely beautiful. I really must find time to try crochet again. My problem is that it doesn't 'flow' as does my knitting. I can knit and watch tv at the same time but I don't think I could take my eye off the crochet.

I'm the opposite! Knitting takes every scrap of my concentration and I am still rubbish :rotfl:

I have been spinning a stock of yarn and I really need to get back to crocheting it all :D
