Arroli, that bag looks lovely, I might have to add that to my project list...
I'm not sure if you'd all them Japanese Flowers or not, but if you can make squares you should be able to make flowers as well0 -
Hi everyone
Made a tin cover and now have a very pretty pot of tete au tete sitting in the front window in it. I have made quite a few now and they are in more or less every room in the house:rotfl: Will have to rry something else now, quite like the idea of a ripple blanket for DGD's bed but cant decide on colours.

I have been spinning lots of yarn recently and I now have a heap of thick yarn on short amounts, any ideas as to what I could make with them?Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0

Well done on finishing your blanket, it's a fab pattern. Did you work in the back of the stitches only when you started your edging, because that can stop it curling?
Maybe try blocking the edges if you haven't already, that should solve it.
What are you going to make next?0 -
Hi Missmilly
I worked only the back loops on the picot row, but the treble and double rows I worked through both loops?
I think I'm going to make a ripple blanket next, what about you? xxM.A.C.A.W member number 39

Hi Rummer! If the yarn pieces are thick I'd be inclined to single crochet them into a bathmat or small rug, leaving the ends free rather than concealing them, so it has a rustic look to it.I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

That's how I worked mine too, so maybe block just the edge to stop it curling..... it might help.
I'm working on a Ripple blanket at the moment, single bed size, so it seems to be going on forever! Also, because I couldn't resist the wonderful soft yarn any longer :rotfl::rotfl:I'm working on a Japanese Flower Scarf, which could be finished later this week or early next week. I quite like having the two things on the go together.0 -
I maybe should have used a larger hook for the edging, do you think that would help? it's not bad, but bad enough to annoy me! Blocking scares me, I might ruin the edges and stretch them out of shape?
I'll be doing a double bed sized ripple, so I'm familiar with the concept of it going on endlessly! LOLM.A.C.A.W member number 39

I don't know if a larger hook would make a difference, hopefully someone else will come along soon who might know. I know just what you mean about it annoying you though, I ripped out more than 50cms of my ripple because I didn't like the way the colours looked .
I have found that blocking has made such a difference, but so far, have only used it on granny squares. I am going to have to do it on my Flower scarf as the flowers curl all over the place. As I am joining them as I go along I will have to block the completed artical, which is more than a bit scary as the yarn was soooooooooooooooo expensive, and I don't want to ruin it.0
