What kind of yarn have you used? If it is acylic I would put it in the machine on a low temp/delicates wash with non bio liquid.

I have gone hat crazy lately, thought you all might be interested in seeing a few of my creations :o

Should have had the original quote but dont know why it didnt, but it was a link for the cream puff baby blanket, it is such a wool eater! so far ive done 19 rows with 30 clusters on each row, in king cole DK white, and im just about finished an ordinary 100g ball (the other one is a superball 250g) i need to go get more so i can finish it. I havnt put any pics up yet as my big lights went out so the pics arnt good :(

    Bluebell, your hats are fab!

    ive named it puff blanket
atm its 30 puffs long by 20 puff rows :)
I think im going to need it to be 40 - 60 puff rows for a good size blanket and then i will add a nice edging

  • i love your "puff" blanket lola, looks really snuggly. i find it scary how wool greedy some stitches are.
i finally finished my king sized blanket, i used lucy's (attic24) granny stripe pattern and its HUUUUGE. i shudder to think how much wool it took but makes my bed lovely and warm. also did a smaller single bed size to give to my dad for xmas(he so admired mine lol ) sp that will be different to socks..also got a single sized blanket on the go using lucy's neat ripple pattern but finding it so slow going compared to the granny stripes.
    Lead us not into temptation...

just tell us where it is and we'll find it....
  • Thank you :)
I'm well chuffed with it, went to the wool shop and got 2 more 'fat' balls in white and 1 fat ball in a blue and white patterned wool, think i will use that for the edging, but not too sure yet.

My 3 year old was with me and insisted i get yellow wool, so 3 ablls of yellow to make him a plain granny blanket, i cant really grudge him it, he has been asking since last christmas!

    but £12.53 later i left :(

And my cousin brought me some supersaver yarn from america over, cant wait to get using it, its the special olympic yarn in a sort of navy blue and a turqoise, its a bit of a charity drive by red heart yarns, we buy the wool, make scarves to set sizes and send them in and they get distributed round to those in the special olympics. they have a facebook group if you want to find out more on it. I have missed the deadlines for this year unfortunately but at least i now get a chance to us the wool :)

  • Hi everyone

Firstly just want to say how lovely your creations are, its great to see the photos.

    That blanket is amazing!!

I am just taking up crochet again - not crocheted for over 20 years now. I would like to make this scarf but am I correct in thinking that the dc should actually be tc?

I would appreciate if someone could please clarify this for me, thank you.
