new project underway for my sons Gaelic nursery (only 8 kids) Christmas Tree's that they can then decorate with scrap wool, sequence etc.
using wool i got for free (yae) Its APEX, double knit, wool/nylon mix in shade 1713 dye 43/901
Its a green, but a mix of green from mid green to a yellowy green, its not a shading wool or striping wool, it just seems to have the range of shades in every strand mixed together.
I was going to use it to make my son a scarf and hat, but he doesnt like wool, makes him itchy.
I'll post a pic tomorrow as i didnt get a seat on the train home today so couldnt finish this first one.Living Simply, not simply living.Weight Loss - 5b/55lb

I finished the Christmas Tree, and then made another on the train on the way home, under 40 mins, as caught the super fast train for a change! Was suprised I finished it in that time when the first took me over an hour.

oh, ment to say, I've finally decided on a long term project!
aiim to complete 52 squares that have 25/30 rounds each, and by next December I should be able to 'car boot' or christmas present the blankets that will be joined together.
Also to do 12 baby blankets, so I have a stash in the ready for all these babys that keep coming (thats what i get for meeting/helping soo many people at the breastfeeding support groups!)
And I'm hoping to do at least 1 small item each month, arigami (sp) cupcakes (my fave) baby boots, mittens etc.
Oh im on ravelry (i was reading back posts on here last night and seen it mentioned a few times, im lolalemon if you want to add me, i dont have much on their just now, not got time to update it yet!
So thats an aim of 52 squares, 12 blankets and 12 'toys'
need to update my signiture to add that in.Living Simply, not simply living.Weight Loss - 5b/55lb

Oh hunny, It sounds just like my blanket but it looks fab!
Like my mum told me, the dropped stitches, crossed threads etc are a unique style of my own that no one can copy.
