    Great progress bt :T
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

    Hi FB,

I'd like to change my target to £20K (if possible) as I have recently achieved the target set in 2009 which was to get the mortgage down to £32K.
  • Is it just me that thinks its starting to drag and be the longest time?
Wont be much overpayments for me this time, have been paying minimum in order to build up a 'reserve' as returning to full time education for 2 years, still at green with only £1,120 to find my 12/12/12 which i should almost manage with monthly payments!
Good luck everyone June/Sept & Dec = 3 to go
    £14, 500 to go

Definitely does feel that way, seems like it's shot over on one level, but proves to be more frustrating the closer you get!

You should definitely have had the Dec statement by now. They are sent out in batches, but none should arrive this late - I suggest phoning them :)

I'm not going to make my 12/12 goal. Due to our shares becoming practically worthless and also trying to build up more savings and pension rather than ploughing all spare into paying the mortgage.

However we had our yearly mortgage statement yesterday and so I added up all the overpayments made last year and was pleasantly surprised to see we made over £10k extra payments. So I'm really pleased with that quite an achievement for us considering we have one good wage and one small and three kids to support.

I see SOA's on here were families have as much net income as us often largely made up of benefits and are struggling with massive debts. So it just shows what can be done if you set your mind to it and work together.
