Thanks FB and Maz..
As i've swapping my mortgage product I've got a bit muddled with savings/debts etc. Hopefully should have this all settled down by Dec update and should be able to make up my shortfall (£2500) by then too. Thanks for providing the shortfall number, it makes it easier to understand how much we need to find to get in the green.
I'm going to try very hard to get in the green by the end of the year!! i'll be ever so excited if i can cos it'll be the first time in this whole challenge!!
good luck everyone for the new quarter xMortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -

FB and Maz thanks for all your continued efforts. I am finding it slow going at the moment, life seems to be getting in the way, but I am continuing with at least token ops every month. Hopefully will get back on track soon.
Well done everyone and keep up the good work.0 -
Financialbliss and Maz,
Thanks again for your efforts in compiling the spreadsheets.
It's quite incredible the amount that has been overpaid !
I haven't managed to get in the "Green" yet myself, but I'm still trying.
Good luck everyone in your own overpayments.
Rgds.

Thanks FB for the time you've put into doing the charts and thanks Mrs FB for holding the reigns at home in order for FB to be able to do so!
I'm pleased to be in the green and am even happier to know that I'm about £600 ahead of target. That's almost 2 weeks! Add to that all the extra pennies I'll have between now and the end from council tax and rates free months and I could even be knocking a month from my mortgage!
Having been at this game now for many years, it is kind of second nature and I could probably save more money by shuffling stuff around. I've actually cut my hours at work temporarily and don't want it to impact on the family in any way other than positively. The 7.5 hours less per week that I'm in paid employment are therefore to be used constructively in the home while everyone is out. I will be meal planning and running down the stores. Getting all of the washing and cleaning done each day. I will be identifying what repairs need to be undertaken within the house and finishing off decorating jobs etc. I'm determined to have the house finished before the mortgage is!
