Financialbliss/Maz123: Any chance, the June data can be corrected? If so, let me know how I can supply the correct data and re-submit the correct Sept balance as well.
If you just post an update via the normal update form, but make a quick note in the comments section that it's for chart 02, I'll adjust chart 02.
While I'm here, I've just updated 71 people with their balances for chart 03.
Apologies for people who had double or triple posted - "tomorrow" turned into a day later. Also, no worries if you make a further payment / overpayment and post an updated balance.
Doesn't take long to slot each update into the correct place - I'd rather have two balances from someone to update, rather than none at all.
Just about to turn in for the evening - If you have only posted your update in this challenge thread instead of via the update form, I've yet to trawl through the last 5 or 6 pages to locate them - one for tomorrow.
Keep the updates coming in.

FB - sorry I know your busy but people keep telling me I need to use your spreadsheet to track payments/balance instead of my chaotic bits of paper and a snowball calc. Could you point me in the direction of where to find it. Thank you.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000

I've been hopeless at keeping updated as I keep overpaying at odd times through the year. The last update I got from my bank was in June and I owed £139,226, so have knocked off £11,744. I will be overpaying again next month so will be even more off.
Should have said that I am challenger 88. Will try to update using google docs tomorrow.Mortgage Free in 3-T2 : Started at £151,000 Nov. 2009 Mortgage Free Oct 1st 2015

It's just a little sheet to be able to calculate what if's. I've had a look at locoblade's sheet and while that does almost everything you could ever want, mine is just a simple sheet with one month per row.
I on the whole find spreadsheets more flexible than the online calculators as you can alter payments, overpayments mortgage rate and do a goal seek reasonably easily once you've created a base sheet.
If you don't fancy attempting to create the above (but that's part of the fun) then PM me and I can email a copy with a basic sheet that can be customised...

Gosh it's all very exciting isn't it.
After making an OP yesterday over the phone (20 MINUTES ) my balance has been updated today
Mortgage Balance as of 11/12/09 £45649.12
Total OP's since 12/12/09 £3586.00
Total OP's this period £1092.00
Total OP's this month £430.00
Mortgage Balance as of this morn. £40394.74
Reduced mortgage term so far by 23 months
Without OP's, balance would have been £45005.92
= a balance reduction of £4611.18 less £4466 cumulative OP's = a saving of £145.18 so far. Have I got that right? Chuffing heck that's pathetic :rotfl:ah well at least I feel better for OP'ing :A
Off to update googledocs.
Well done all :beer:0 -
Member 177 here ( new joiner ! )
Just posted my update in the google docs thingy, but posting here as well in case it doesn't work!
My balance is unchanged at 60K as I am still in the process of finishing my extension and have already gone about 5K over budget, with another couple of grand needed to finish completely.
Should be straight by the end of Sep and have a better picture of my financial situation, and then will begin paying down the mortgage again.
My target is to reduce 60K to 40K over the remaining 2 years of the challenge.
Cheers

Updated today - down to £125757. Got 25year mortgage down to 17years and 8 months in just under 3years so thats not bad. Bit behind in this challenge though. I have now opened a savings account which has got a couple of k in ready to go in the mortgage when the fix ends at the end of the year. not including that in my update though until it officially goes into the mortgage.
plan for the next 3 months: Tidy up finances and work out how we are gonna manage overpayments once i go back to work in jan and have to pay for nursery.
see you all in 3 months
