  • Hi all!!

Just updating now; hanging on to green (just!!). It's been a busy and expensive quarter with the many home improvements going on. Fingers crossed we will be finished before Christmas and start making some inroads.....

I may include the ISA savings in my figure next time to make up the shortfall:p (My mortgage interest rate is lower than my ISA rate currently so I have extended the mortgage term to 32 years:eek:). I can, however, make unlimited overpayments:D; as soon as works are complete I will start to fill up the ISA with this year's overpayments.

  • I have updated by google docs

My total is £177,172 not as good as I need but I have been concentrating on reducing the balance on my 0% credit card & have got this down from £10,000 to £2600.

Once this has been cleared all spare money will be going in the mortgage & I should be back on track.

Hi everyone - not been on here for a few months due to general busy lives but have still been saving. Tomorrow I'll be sending off a cheque for a £3000 capital repayment - a few months ahead of schedule! :j

Have updated on the google form and our quest number is 80.
Mortgage Free in 3 part 2 challenge - pay off £9000
    Sealed Pot Challenge 416 - target £500
  • Thanks for the update and for all the hard work that's gone into this. Although it would obviously be better if we were in the green, yellow will do for us for now I suppose. It is a new mortgage after all, so most of it is interest at the moment. The more that comes off now the better!
