  • Ok, No.179 has updated. I'm down to £130746. I don't think thats on target but have overpaid by the max £500 each month so far. Next step now i'm on maternity leave is to sort out a nice savings account for any spare money (I'm sure there will be loads of that) so I can do a big payment when our fixed term ends in Jan 2011.
Millions long for immortality who don't know what to do with themselves on a rainy Sunday afternoon.

I've just done my google update so I thought I'd post it here too... MFiT2 number 101.

Decrease of £836.20 since the start of the challenge taking me under £44k for the 1st time ever! :j Sadly, thats £104.63 short of where I should be at this point so I'll be in yellow. (7.4%) :)

Roll on the end of this month when my OPs are hopefully going to be upped from £100 + random money to £260 + random money. I WILL be green next time! :D

Random question... why do we not have a colour for when we are a % ahead of our targets? I vote blue... (Blue for lack of oxygen from shock in my case if I ever were to manage it! :rotfl:)
    Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!

No. 29 reporting in I have updated by google docs afraid I too will be a last minute reporter due to dates of payments even have a payment tomorrow but have decided to include that next quarter!

So starting amount £260,800 paid off this quarter £3008.60 (so pleased to get over the £3k mark:T) making a balance of £257,791.40 according to my calculations that makes it £3.34% of my 90K target and in the yellow always knew I would be - anticipated large payment next quarter should put me in the green zone :)

    Looking forward to tomorrow.

    DTxx

Oops on checking the opening post realise my target is £90,800 not 90K trust me to add £800 to make the finishing number even so my percentage is actually 3.31% good job it didnt put me down into the red zoneI would have been gutted

No. 24 here! I've updated my googledoc figure as mortgage payment for this month went through in the nick of time. It's down to £118977.58. Woohoo! Not sure how I'll keep it up, but hopefully with the help of these chart updates and reading the MFW forum I'll stay motivated.

Well done everyone on the overpayments! Chart day tomorrow!!!
  • I'm really looking forward to the first chart tomorrow.
I will probably get out of bed early just to see if FB has got up earlier than me to avoid us all being disappointed!!

Unfortunately I can't open any of the excel files (or update my figures) from work and I'm going away for the weekend - so if it isn't there first thing tomorrow I'll have to wait over the whole weekend to see how well we're all doing! The suspense will kill me!!!

Me too, it's going to be interesting to see how others are doing. I know everyone will be in different situations, so I think it's important not to get too caught up in other people's progress, best of luck to everyone especially all those who are updating and a very big thanks to FB and Maz123 for running this challenge (and doing a great job of it too).

    miss undastood,
I'm faced with 2 options - stay up another 45 minutes or so and publish just after midnight, or get up a little earlier publish in the morning before my normal schedule.

Having had too many late nights, I'm currently tempted for the latter - let's see what time I eventually sign off from MSE this evening... ;)

On reflection, I feel the update form has worked well. I've had a handful of PMs, but the bulk of the updates have been through the form, keeping my PM box from filling up.

As for Chart 01 itself, I think that as we have had a lower (than I expected) set of updates, that we allow people to update for a while yet, eg another 2 weeks or even until the end of March, ie a late update is better than no update.

    Does that sound ok?
