FB in terms of how long you leave the updates open, it is up to you and Maz as you are the ones taking the time to do it. I would suggest the end of the month maximum in case people are waiting and that is when you left the join date open till wasn't it? (Have you also thought about what you will do if people don't contact you in the longer term - ie reduce the list like the original challenge did? Again, whatever you think is best should go.)

I am just trying to decide whether to kill a bit extra time now and wait till after 12 or just look tomorrow morning. Decisions that a SAHM has to make. ;) Daft really as i know i am yellow and so many people have also updated here, but I REALLY WANT TO SEE IT. I am so impatient. :rotfl:

Was just about to sign off, then spotted your post. I think it'll be an early morning post.

Probably Chart 01 in the morning, then another two later, meaning evening time... :D

I have considered the idea of possibly removing people from the challenge if they have not updated for the last 3 charts, but not in a rush to implement that just yet.

  • don't stay up just for me FB - you're efforts in managing this whole shindig are much appreciated.
I'm just keen to see how everyone is doing!

I've not given it the focus it needs yet - as it's making more sense to save at a higher rate - but when rates rise I'll throw it all at the mortgage.

Thanks for that. I'll go and get myself some frugal beauty sleep then. :D It will help me concentrate better tomorrow when i read it. Something to look forward to other than the fact it is Friday, and then the weekend.

Well here it is - the first chart of this challenge...

    MFiT-T2 Chart 01:
    http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=0AnhcWfGMRVgddGtzMTdvS1VnNXUwakpPc3NjZzRHMVE&hl=en_GB&single=true&gid=21&output=html

Firstly, a big thanks for everyone who has supplied an update. Could I ask that everyone checks their entry for any errors - you'll probably do that anyway.

If there's an error, eg we've marked you as updated on the updates sheet, but missed you off the chart, got your balance wrong or whatever, could you re-update using the update form and we'll get the entry amended.

We will probably do some analysis of the info, but perhaps one a few more updates are in.

Currently, we have collectively paid down £581,120 pounds, which is 6.21%.

Well done everyone - some of you just missed out by a very small amount from being in the green zone.

It's a marathon, not a sprint! Don't worry if you're in the yellow or red zone, this is just the first chart and we'll be doing this again in June.

    Thanks,
    Financial Bliss / Maz123.

Thanks FB, can't believe I missed on out yellow by 0.04% gutted, but realistically I knew I'd be red and probably will be for the next chart as well, but will hopefully be well ahead by the end of the year if something we have in the pipeline works out.

Well done everyone, especially those in the green.
