Hi,

I so wish I had came across this forum before I stupidly signed up to The Credit People. I have been charged £49.50, signed the paper work and sent it back. I then received a letter saying to phone a company who would help me, at £1.50 per minute!! Again, stupidly I did this. From here I was passed to a few companies who couldn't help. I then spoke to a gentleman who advised me to stay away from companies who charge for their services (how ironic!!). I am quite naive about these things.

Can someone please advise me or give me the addresses of the people I need to write to?? Upon calling the people who charge £1.50 per min, I was advised they would re-coup the call costs if I write to them. Has anyone heard of this and have they had their call costs returned?? Is there an address for this? Would I be best contacting my bank (HSBC) and claim this back through them?

We Approve Ltd again based in Bournmouth give them a wide birth there just a scam loan company they will tell you you have been approved then they say we have to put you through to our underwriting team,,,, in fact there is no underwriting team it is a company selling you insurance PAYMENT GUARD this company is part of THE RICHMOND GROUP who own LOAN CENTER - ADVANTAGE LOANS - TENANTS LOANS - the MD of these companies was on secret millionaire what a cheek giving money away like a god when he has got the money from vunerable people and from being deceitful. thankfully I didn't apply to this company a close friend did. DO NOT PAY ANY MONEY UP FRONT FOR A LOAN THEY ARE ALL SCAMS

I am so lucky I have found this forum, I applied for a loan for £2000 this morning, they gave me a call telling me I'd been successful and all the rubbish that they say, and that there would be a fee of £49.50, I daftly gave them my debit card number and told them not to take it till Friday. Since I have found out that they are a big scam I have rang my bank and cancelled my bank card so that they can not take any money off it, rather do that than risk trying to get my money back. They should without a doubt be shut down.

Ok a broker has 6 months in which to place you with a loan if they sell the product properly and dont miss sell or miss guide you to get you to pay their fee.

the minute they miss sell Ie. their sales script they seem to be telling everyone you have a loan for 17.5% and you will receive the loan agreement papers in the post and once u sign and sent them back to us your money will be in the bank within three days.

As soon as they have miss sold the product like they have all you have to do is.

Step 1.

write a letter and give them 14 day in which to refund your money send it recorded delivery so you know when they received it (this is the only letter you need to send) explain in it that you were miss sold and you have been on a forum where others were told exactly the same thing. also mention that you have contacted the Dept. for fair trading and reported the incident as this is the next step you need to do.

Step 2.

Call the dept of Fair trading and report the incident ( the more reports the higher the urgency becomes for them to investigate this issue)


Step 3.

(If you receive the refund well your all done) If you dont its another call to the dept of fair trading to let them know that they havent given you a refund (dont except any excuses from the credit people you have given them a deadline and they have to meet it)

Step 4.

If you wish to take this further I am in the process of getting other people together to take the credit people to court for our lost money and compensation if you wish to join this claim and take it to court under a mass action then please email Richard.a.f@hotmail.co.uk this will not only get you more money than you paid them but they will have to pay out court costs too if they dont pay a court baliff will turn up at their door and take 10's of thousands of £ worth of property to make the payments (maybe more or less depending on how many people wish to join the court action) mention that you will be doing this in the letter as this might help the refund.


The Dept. of fair trading also told me that what they are doing is a criminal offence so if the money isn't refunded and the D.F.T investigate and find them guilty they will be dealt with through the criminal channels ie police and criminal courts.

Im now typing the letter to them and sending it today recorded delivery I will post a copy of the letter on here and will let you all know the out come.

Remember if you want to take them to court for your money if you dont get it by going through the right channels and dont have too much time to deal with the legal action or just want to get you money back email me on the above email addy and i can deal with it as im stuck at home after a failed operation which has stuck me on DLA so i have pleanty of time and i love taking on companies that are in the wrong!!!

Hi People,

I am now in the process of gathering evidence against the Credit people as they are by laws definition defrauding us of our money by miss sale of the product. this isnt a one off incident and the more people who come forward will help get this company closed down and the owners tried at a court of law for criminal acts as what they seem to say to everyone is the same and read from a script (this is my guess as every ones story on here is the same)

If people could email me their experience with the credit people what they were sold and paid for what rates were said to them when they said the money would be in the bank what they were sending out and then what they acctually sent out how you got your money or in most cases didnt.

If the rates they quoted you on the phone when you rang up b4 you paid were even a few % out this is classed as a miss sale if they sent you out anything but a loan agreement which they said they would this is a miss sale, if they put you to another broker but had given you the rates over the phone when you paid your fee this is classed as a miss sale.

I will gather the evidence from all who wish to take this company down, get there money back etc please email me at Richard.A.F@hotmail.co.uk with these testimonies and some contact details I will then take all the evidence to the office of fair trading, the DTI, and a few MP's alon with taking it to a solicitors who if they win the case will get back your fee, the cost of phone calls chasing it up plus compensation for the time you spent trying to get somewhere with them plus compensation for the stress it has caused you.

Please, Please, Please do email me the more people who do the easier it is going to be to bring this scam company to justice!!

Ok just been on the phone to the Office of fair trading who have also asked me to ask you all to report The Credit People to them. give them an account of what happened even cut and paste your messages off here just the the OFT know what going on they have the power to revoke their licence and take away their trading they have already been warned back in 2007 so a case against them will be easy.

Please Report them to the Office Of Fair Trading by post or by the easy and cheap option;

I cant stress enough that yopu need to report them if the consumer doesn't report them the OFT cant do anything. Only when we act they can.

i applied for a loan through these jokers and yes i got robbed:mad:,£49.95 and cost of premium rate call, they took my money willingly and i have nothing in return and they will not refund my money, i have reported them to THE OFFICE OF FAIR TRADING and sugest that all of you poor people who have been stung by this company do the same, to get rid of vultures like these praying on innocent hard working people who need a loan but are finding it difficult in this reccession, please please dont let them get away with it report them and dont fall into their trap like i did,:(

Just wanted to warn people off this company.
I too have been scammed by this so called scam company!
Here how it went.
I phone Credit problem no problems Ltd and agreed to a £10,000 loan they said I answered all there questions correctly and said I would receive the document to sign it and return it asap.They asked for my card details in order for the money to go in to my account with in 3 working days.Sure they said this but when I checked my account low behold they took out £45 with out my agreement now that's an offense.When the paperwork came through it said you have signed up for a £3000 loan when clearly I did not I asked for £10,000 why would I ask for £3000 when I needed £10,000.
So I have contacted them only to be fobbed off by a stupid young unintelligent person.Be very careful with this company they are one of the same run by a group of con men who trading standards have been informed and the VAT office.

The Credit People are a scam company, who the owners knows perfectly well he is running a scam company because his so called company name is still dormant and probably go bust before the end of trade year!!
