I normally buy alot from Zavvi as its normally cheaper on DVD's.
I got quite a few in the whole rush and my local one is still open.
Its good for presents as they have many sets of two Dvds for 4pounds(including 20% off). Like Ace Ventura set and many others.
I also managed to get Russell brand set of 3 dvds(Cant remember the name), that was just released including ponderland, doing life and live for only 11.99(without discount as wasn't 20% off at the time). A really good deal if anyone else can find it as it was 30pounds the week before
hehe
Id also recommend the Alien quadtrilogy. I think its about 13pounds and is a brilliant buy, amazing set of films in an amazing case

If they do end up closing all stores, do we think there will be a big closing down sale? Or will they sell their stock in bulk to other retailers?0

One of my local stores is included in the announced store closures on BBC. (Crawley branch) Does this mean they wont be open tomorrow? Was hoping to go in at noon after college.Graduated this year.

HMV has saved the following stores and the 200+ jobs that go with them:
Bournemouth Castlepoint
Crewe
Dundalk
Dundrum
Glasgow Fort
Glasgow Silverburn
Liffey Valley
Limerick
Newbridge
Peterborough
Plymouth (Drake Circus)
Salisbury
Southend
Stockton-on-Tees
Pleased to see my local store in that list because to be honest we haven't got a big music store as such nearby, just hope the rest get saved too.0 -

HMV already have a store in Peterborough no more than 100 yards from the Zavvi, and are the only real competition to Zavvi. As the Zavvi store is in a much better location, my money's on HMV closing their original store and moving into the Zavvi site. I doubt the staff at Zavvi will have jobs for very long.0 -
i went to the store in birmingham to, it was rubbish, and hardly anyone in there either, like a ghost town0
