hi guys

thanks for the good luck messages, we were declared bankrupt as of 9.22am and oh 9.24am today, now just waiting for or to post out relavant forms etc, think the interview will be worse than the court x

Hello everyone,

As at 10.00 this morning I was officially BR. Lots of waiting around (I advise everyone to take a book or magazine to pass the time). I arrived at court at 8.30 and left at 11.45 after a brief call with the OR. I didn't see a judge.

To be honest I'm not sure what I feel now - probably hasn't sunk in yet but if anything I feel sad rather than elated. It's the end of an era I suppose.

I'm sure I'll be floating around here for at least another 12 months and I might even post a diary if I can muster the heart.

Bankrupt today! Judge only asked if Id sought advice, could we not pay debts on hubbys wages and does OH know I was there today. Then forms were stamped and I was on the phone to the ORs office who gave me an appoinment (phone) for the 30th. Although no one was impolite or seemed to be "judging me" it was still very nerve wracking, glad that bits all over.

Tiggypig......are you ready?? good luck tommorrow - see you in the Bankrupt Inn tommorrow evening for some light refreshment. Maybe some of the regulars will buy us drinks as being newly br we wont have much money to spare;) Take it easy:)

Drinks in the Inn are free - they tried taking credit cards at one time but it proved a disaster.
