Yes good luck guys, Wednesday draws nearer for me too. Getting a bit apprehensive now but just focusing on getting through the other side.

Just a bit of information about me..............
After pulling my head out of the sand and adding up our total debts (alcohol needed!) We realised that it was double what we thought! £50K!!!!

My HB is self employed with contracts in the car industry and we know how well that is doing! From 7 days a week work down to 1 maybe 2 days a week!

I am a student Nurse and am tied by my bursary (£400)

After advice we cancelled all the DD's and took out the £500 savings to live on, ready and waiting for the court date.........10 weeks to get into my local County Court!!!! I couldn't wait 10 weeks, I am already getting paranoid and won't answer the phone. Thankfully she offered an alternative which meant I had to travel to Birmingham but it could be done on March 24th!
So it is booked I am just filling in the SOA which I will post for your advice......

Feeling sick and also excited!:o

Hi all,

I am goign to the local county court on Wedsnesday 4th March 2009 to file for bankruptcy.

I am very scared at the moment with many sleepless nights had so not doing very well at work during the day because so tired.

Hopefuly i will get a good night's sleep on Wednesday once the court is over.

My debt is for thousands which i am not proud to say is through stupidity and living beyond my means while at university and also being a fool and helping people out and then having them do the dirty on me. I am definietly not proud to admit that two of those people are my parents.

Anyways i wish that wednesday would come faster then i can hopefully feel slightly less scared.

Hiya EBD hopefully by Wed it'll be a whole lot easier for you...thing is? everyone here felt the same before the big day in court & TBH its not half as bad as your imagining it can be at the minute honest!
Try not to be scared (easier said |I know) but I have to agree with you...day I left court nearly 2 years ago I had the best nights sleep EVER!

Evening all,

Im up on Friday morning with hubby! Feeling realy nervous and emotional right now! Hubby did his forms online in about 3 hours but I'm only about half way through mine! He manages to keep loads of info in his head but I have to wade though paperwork for details! Is it a major problem if I miss any creditors of form? I think I have them all but keep thinking I'm bound to miss someone?:eek:

Getting really worked up about how much info we need to gather with both being self employed!

Hi everyone

Well it's almost D-Day for me too so may I join your merry band? I plan to go to the court on 9th March to finally declare myself BR.

Like many of you, I am a little apprehensive that the judge is going to laugh at me and tell me what a silly girl I've been but there is some hope in there somewhere that they'll maybe just shake their head, stamp my forms and send me on my way.........

I also want to say thanks again for all the help and advice I have received from various members of this forum. You're all very lovely people :T

Hi all March Buddies,

Think I need to join....have court date on 18th March.....but am totally confused as I have just had a bankruptcy petition served on me (guarantee I should never have signed to do with an old job that I left in 2006!!!!!) had rec Stat Demand in Nov and heard nothing more so thought they had decided not to bother, today after getting over the initial shock, thought the papers would say what to do and they say NOTHING.....no mention of SOA or even if I should attend the date!!!! Rang the court and they said it was in my best interest to attend but said that the order would mention paperwork I should bring if it was relavant...order says nothing...they said well just bring yourself! Does anyone have a similar experience or know more...am worried that I am going to be flying by seat of my pants in front of the judge!!!! I know that I could defend it but at the end of the day my defence is flaky cos although I had no control over what the company and other directors did once I had left (i.e. not pay the bills) I did sign the guarantee and that is all the court sees!!!!!! Before you ask I did try over the last two years to get my name removed from the paperwork but it was impossible when my ex boss would not cooperate!!!!!
Please help!!!!!!! Sorry for the long winded garble!!!!! Will prob post similar on main threads to for any advice...glad to be a Marchy member!!!!

Am I the first of the month? To all other club members there is nothing to fear apart from a long wait and watching civil servants running around in chaos and planned confusion. I would not like a job in the place I went today.

So folks I believe I am the first? but wait where is Studentsaver perhaps she was before me. I hope she shows up for the party:beer:
