Peterborough had nothing much by 3.30 when I went in. I then saw an SA at the bus stop with 7 large bags full! She said they had people buying
"barrows full" earlier on! Reckoned they were to be resold on market stalls and ebay etc.

i got one of the st tropez gift sets today for 11 quid, loads left, was suprised actually that no one wants them

didnt get anything else though as it was my 30 min lunch break but to be honest didnt look like anything much else was left

yes i had exactly the same with paypal, it was sooooo slow that i almost ordered twice, luckily confirmation of paypal payment email had just come through before i pressed the button.

Those who have placed orders...if you did not get confirmation email you will not get your order, so check your email

If you did get a confirmation email it does not mean you will get items as most are showing as pending on the system

Those who did get confirmation emails x 30 or whatever, you may be BILLED for these, but they will need to work through them manually and there is NO NEED TO CALL CS and also they can not cope with the call volume, but they are fixing this

Those who did not get confirmation emails, your order will be 'pending' and you will not get that order

If anyone gets an attempted delivery when you have already had your order, DO NOT ACCEPT it. If you do they can not pick it up and you will need yo return to store or post office, so REFUSE DELIVERY

Sale suspended as the system says the have a certain amount of stock (lots showing up in minus amounts though) and infact they do not, sale may come back on or it may be shipped to store

All will not be sorted in hours, looking at days as it is a ABSOLUTE B*LLS UP!

Like I said, wanted to pass on as CS are not being direct with people apparently!

Have had 2 1/2 hr sleep ...been out and about in between, but since 3 this morning have now tried to buy my on-line stuff 11 times ...thought would just get my order through as the site came back there ...have even downloaded Fire Fox browser ...but alas ...still crashed just as you send credit card details ...so close !!
Martin's site hasn't crashed under our weight ...what is wrong with Boots' tech guys ?? Come on ...
Gave up calling Boots CS ...just gonna call Samaritans (08457 90 90 ....)

Tried reading through all the replies but far too many so have given up. After the problems on .com today I decided to go to local store, only got a few bits but only cost £2.44 cash & about £8 of points.

Got :-

2x Dr Who Spaceships
Spa Gift set
Tropical gift set
Set of 6 soaps

The main things I wanted were OOS instore (Iggle Pigge & Dalek hot water bottle covers) but I then went to Lloyds chemist & got 2 pink ones with tiaras on for £5.00 BOGOF and these included the HOT WATER BOTTLE with them whereas I don't think the Boots ones do so I'm glad I've got them now.

I also wanted a nice No7 giftset for MIL, preferably the P&P one but no sign of them Any local person who has one spare could you let me know please, think it'll be too expensive to post sadly.

I then went to Superdrug & got LOADS (well it came to just short of £6.00) of nice girly bits for 10p each - Lipglosses, Eyeshadows, small gift sets, bracelet, Jacquline Wilson playing cards, nail polish sets, all sorts of little bits really instead of the Glitter Babes stuff I would have bought at Boots.

been toying with thew idea of actually putting the order through at full price...
then sorting it out with them, at a later time...they wouldn't really not honour the sale items would they?
