Would that be the one who was making excuses for an e-mail system not working at a courier?

    Hi

I'm hoping to win something on ebay but need to use a courier to pick it up from the seller (Midlands) and deliver to London.

Have never used a courier service before and am a bit nervous about getting it wrong!

Please can anyone suggest which company would be best? I'm more interested in a reliable, smooth pick up/delivery even if it means paying a few extra pounds.

    Details
Length: Approx 130cm, width approx 20cm, weight about 7g.
There will be 6 of the above

Would each 1 item be treated individually or can I get the whole 6 picked up together for one fee (or would they all need to be packaged together - so it would be one 130cm long package but quite chunky width-wise?

I know I should check the collection time and ensure the seller will be available and that they've packaged the goods well - anything else I should be concerned about though?

Many thanks in advance for any help.

I assume that you mean 7kg weight. In which case, you could book direct with parcelforce 48 for £66.99 & you may find it cheaper through one of the resellers, although the 130cm will be too long for most of them. The estimate above obviously is a bit cheaper too. Or you could try putting an ad on Shiply.com to see if anyone there is interested in doing the delivery for less.

I've been a bit of an idiot I think. Put some wheel trims for sale on ebay- looked at other similar lots for details and postage and put down £5 for postage. Never sent anythin this big before but on looking now the cheapest i get it for is dhl for £7.92. Anybody tell me the cheapest way to send comething like this? I can still see people with similar iterms on ebay giving £5 for postage so I am assuming it is possible? Thaks n advance for any help. BTW it doesn't really matter within reason how long delivery takes
