I would never put "fragile" or "handle with care" on a parcel it is like saying kick here to some parcel staff. I have learnt the hard way on that one

Prices start from £3.99 and they will collect from your house and deliver to most of the UK.

I'm helping them launch, so I'm not impartial. I'd be interested to hear what you think of them.

Never again queue at the Post Office to send a parcel.:j

I see they are a re-brand of parcelnet.

Any MSE'ers (other than jamiedouglas) have any experience of their services?

I see it's an extra 98p (+VAT) for a signature, and the max weight & insurance (£25) are lower than the DHL/UPS/etc resellers. If I knew it was a reliable service I'd consider it for 4-12kg (ish) low value parcels, but tbh most items I sell are worth more than that.

How do you get around the issue of couriers damaging in transit and getting refunds?

My buyer had a damaged product, didn't sign for as damaged.

T+C of these companies say they need to be signed as damaged else I don't get a refund-do you ask buyers to sign docketts as damaged as the norm just in case?

Had about 7 parcels sent now from lowcostparceldelivery and been first class so far. But then nothing has gone wrong.
Also got a refund from frieghtsearch after PF took 4 days to deliver a parcel when i paid for 24 hour.

I've been using lowcostparceldelivery as well since freightsearch put their prices up. I've sent over 12 and its worked out ok. Their rates for heavier items to the USA are very good.
To the poster who commented on booking with dhl and then parcelforce coming that seems to be sorted now. I booked yesterday with their dhl service and dhl came - note that you have to have a printer to print your own labels with the dhl service and the dhl service is the express rather than home delivery service.
One thing you can say about them is you get a response to an email even if its late a night.
